Congrats to Toolman and Brownys Boys who both earnt promotion into Division II next season by winning their Qualifying Finals. Toolman did it pretty easy but Browny only just snuck in with a two point victory over Delicious and valleys is kicking himself as you can see above. At least Delicious gets another serving next week. Not so the losers of the Elimination finals after they were punted out of the finals by Les's Men and Hips Don't Lie who will get their chance for promotion in next week's semi finals.
I think I'd rather miss the finals than lose the semis next week and get so close but not earning the promotion!

4. Stats That Matter vs. 8. Les's Men
Ol' Statsy, like Delicious was all the rage early on as they set a cracking pace during the minor rounds but the cracks are starting to appear in Stats That Matter. True, last week Stats only got ten out of Mackie and Lower who won't be available but head to head Les's Men look to be the more formidable combination. He has a Cat free defence for a start and that's his top seven defenders I'm talking about. Stats needs to find some more points back there or it will be straight sets for him. Trent Cotchin is a crucial player for Les and with the Tigers set to play the Demons, a team with only perhaps McKenzie as a tagger Cotch could rack up a big score which is something he doesn't do on a consistent basis. Stats has had a solid season but it will all come to an end this week with a Les's Men victory.
3. Delicious vs. 7. Hips Don't Lie
I 1backed against Hips last week so why am I talking about them this week.....ah another dud tip REB! Looking at the lineups for this game I reckon MERZUNGO (Great name LOL) will come under strong consideration at the selection meetings of both teams. I reckon Hippsy has got a bit of a problem. Enright is out of that backline and he's still carrying Chris Newman. Either he is out of trades or he has been using Lower as DEF 7 in recent weeks. Hang on...Lower is out this week as well. Both have the powerful Petrie/Cox ruck combination but I reckon that Delcious will get more points out of midfielders Scotty Thompson and Luke Hodge and that this predicted points boost will be enough to see him over the line. Delicious to record a sweet victory.
I'm predicting a straight sets exit for Stats That Matter this week as I reckon the league's highest ranking coach will be too strong in that final. Les's mate Hips will give a good account of himself but I don't reckon that valleys will go downhill this week. Good luck to all coaches.
