That would be a massive blow for para hills if true. They better start recruiting now or they might find themself in more trouble then this year

Mitcham Seaton umpired by kids, interesting to see Koota get 2 fifties for push and shove, umpires seemed to react more to the crowd than the game, whistle going to the mouth and then stopping rather than decisive calls, makes it frustrating for players.Finals footy played by Seaton, with the occasional late things but nothing reportable, if you could combine the running game of Mitcham with Seaton's hard at it approach you would have a cracker side. What was concerning was two sling tackles, one leaving a player knocked out and the other with a neck and shoulder injury. Don't know what the ruling is on this in amateurs but have seen some high profile incidents in the Afl. If Seaton get a few wins under thier belt early next year i think they will be contenders, they may have used up too much to get to the finals. Loechel is a gun, great mark and handy kick. Mitcham will need to play thier style for longer than five or ten minutes at a time, if they had played like they did in the first five or ten minutes, for a quarter and a half, the game would have been done by half time.
Sounds like Portland finished the game off well, wouldn't be surprised if they got over Flinders Park aswell.

Its a disgrace the Amateur League hasn't done anything to improve the quality of umpiring in Div3 after last years diabolical display.
If only the League had taken calls on this matter throughout last year rather than turning a blind eye, these young ones ( umpires ) would know wrong from right.
Seaton were a good team last year but a certain few were more about THEMSELVES rather than the TEAM & some of the younger ones were taken under the wing by these senior players which had the team playing well below their capabilities.
One player with huge expectations from the coach was Loechel, this bloke was lazy & was getting an eye opener to senior football because of it by the opposition, One thing i have noticed this year is his work rate has picked up & he's thinking more about the TEAM rather than himself by chasing & tackling.
No doubt Seaton played more for each other & their coach this year, a far cry from last year, it just proved what they were capable of instead of looking for others to blame for their failures.
I say well done to Ray & Detto.
A very even Div3 comp this year & any of the top 5 teams could have taken out the flag, only 4 remain with Flinders Pk & Portland the favourites.

not a bad review of the game diggaditch... would also like to know the rule of the sling tackle as i know it has been called sparingly through the year. 1 of koutas 50's was for as the umpire said a punch to the face - so was lucky to get away with only a 50?? hawks came out of the blocks well, but to seatons credit they fought back hard and held the lead for most of the 2nd and 3rd quarters and took every oppurtunity they had. Awesome last quarter by the hawks to finish the game off well. seaton have some very impressive young players, and if they can keep them together they will be a force in years to come - #26 played awesome and was BOG by a mile for them. On to SMOSH this week, should be a cracker.

With Visser not being amongst Flinders Parks top 4 vote getters i think Ohara will poll in majority of FP games and will win the medal.
My boxed trifecta is very similar. Ohara, Bird, Rowe, Thach, Margatich

Care to shed some light on this Piccachu?

How did said smallish forward pull up after that knock?

And was same smallish forward and others wearing Port Magpies shorts? Whats the go there?

How bad does the SAAFL treat the B grade comp. example

SMOSH B grade finished top but yet play a 2nd semi final against Flinders park at Flinders park. While Seaton vs mitcham at smosh. does not sound very fair. and shows the SAAFL dont care about B grade footy!!
We're in hell right now gentlemen. Believe me. And we can stay here, get the shit kicked out of us, or we can fight our way back into the light. We can climb outta hell... one inch at a time.

Can someone explain to me why our B grade are not allowed to play at home this weekend?

Work hard to finish top all Year, to get the week off, and the right to a home final. Our A Grade are playing at home, so the 2's can be/should be playing at home, but are told that the first semi finals will be played at FLinders park...who just happen to be the team they're playing. Absolute free kick for FP B Grade.

Seriously, that questions the integrity of the entire B grade competition!

Snap. Just doesn't make sense, which perhaps suggests this is some sort of administration oversight. Should try and correct it ASAP.

Makes sense but sometimes the calls the SAAFL make arent sensible.
Upto your heroic president to give the amatuer league a call I think!
Dont reckon you will have much luck though?!

If an A grade team finishes top and their B grade is still playing 99% of the time they will follow, you are not the only one look at Uni in Div 2, they have been smart though knew what would happen and asked for a 12.00 and 2.30 starts.

how unfair is that on our B grade then:

They beat FLinders by 6 goals at Home
Then lsot to FLinders by 7 goals away.

if you go on those stats you would suggest fluidners 2's are a ten goal better side at home. So they get a game at home, that they didn't earn, due to a ridiculous fairness oversight! Who have Flinders got working at the SAAFL this year!?!

A Grade always take priority, not just against your team, as i said look at Div 2. In the same way that Clubs treat their A grade as their biggest priority.
