throw in the fact Thomas wont get near any votes in the last 5-6 weeks of football either.

Also i think when Weatherald won the Magarey there were a few Sturt players in the top 5 iirc

Just as an aside from the match my other half spotted Mel and what looked like Anastasia from Amazing Race Australia in the Grandstand today supporting the Doggies....(did i read somewhere that Mel does or did go out with a Dogs player??)

Yes she use to be with Chad O'sullivan

Yeah, Mel used to be with Chad O'Sullivan but is now with former Norwood and current North player Steven Pollock.

And Anastasia came over to Adelaide from Sydney as she is good friends with a Central player out injured at the moment.

Dogs midfield depth told in the second half. Eags need Cicca and Petrenko(please crows!) to match it with dogs in finals.
I believe we were mentally soft in the face of increased pressure in the third quarter and paid the price.
Very disappointing loss but only if we don't learn form it and become tougher for the whole game next time.

Funny (frustrating) game to watch. Eagles, even when on top, refused to kick to a contest (even when Redden or Grocke were in the goalsquare) - afraid of the flood. So we just kept chipping it around until we turned it over. In third quarter Centrals belted it forward at all costs, showed faith in their team mates and it worked. A footballing lesson. Who is the big, loud bloke who perches in front of the Percy Fox stand and lets rip with his foghorn 'you dogs' chant? A few years ago, but not now, he would also consume a couple of 2 litre bottles of iced coffee per game, everyone seems to know him. On the playing front, Sansbury is a stand out.

It seemed like the Eagles had been working hard to play on or at least move the ball quicker which was a real improvement over some crap house games this season . Godden is banking on toughness and ball movement to win out in finals over structure and skill , so I hope hes right ! Having Parry is an obvious positive , but if we run out of petrol tickets in the finals again this year , THERE WILL BE NO HIDING behind some issues that the footy dept. , CEO & Board like to trot out about certain players !

Both Hayes and Jarrad's reports have been thrown out by the tribunal.

fair enough too, although Haysey's would have raised a few eyebrows, just a tad late I thought.

Very soft report on Hayes. If he got suspended for that attempted spoil, it would have just been about the end of spoiling in the SANFL. Just lately there have been too many soft reports by the umpires.

Two points on offer in that game, same as any other.

Nice to know you care though. :D

(BTW - Spite or spittle?)

And possibly the Minor Premiership..

Winner of that game looks very likely to be minor premier. A little hard to see how the winner won't be, but this is footy after all.
