It's nearly all over
South Africa 279/9 (45.4 ov)
South Africa require another 99 runs with 1 wicket and 26 balls remaining

FWIW Tyler, most Aussies dislike of the SA cricket side would have nothing to do with skin colour, you talk about arrogance, the Dutch heritage in the SA side would have a monopoly on that.
You don't ever here of too many Aussie's that dislike the West Indies side, and they have a lot more blacks playing for them.

from Cricinfo:

Three events halted the frenetic run-chase: Watson's throw to run out de Villiers. Kallis walking in at no 3 and batting the way he did. Perhaps, Gibbs could have been promoted. And then Smith cramping up. And Australia started hussling the batsmen. Pressure was intense, the required rate started rocketing and one by one, the batsmen went down.

Mal, your serve.....
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!

I thought Gilly keeping over the stumps to Bracken was an intimitating move. Saw Ponting talking to Bracken that last ball and reckon he told him what to bowl.

AU 377
SA 294

SA 0/160 OFF [20.5] were cruising
WATSON 0/29[3] was smashed as were most bowlers.
WATSON produced the run out of the tournament to run out DE VILLIERS [Symondsesque run out]
SA 1/220 needing 158 of 112 balls and on a primary school ground were looking winners.
Enter HOGG
Enter TAIT
Enter WATSON
Enter BRACKEN
4 magnificent efforts for the rest of the game.

HOGG [some said should have been dropped pre tour[not me] 3/61 [10] match winner
TAIT with reverse swing put the wind up them last 6 overs 2/32 approximately gets 2/61[10]
WATSON 0/39 [4] unlucky 4th over with 9 wides with keeper up to stumps bowled the spell of
his career when SA were killing us his last 4 overs took 1/8, and got swing[what happened]
He also had 2 confident appeals for catches disallowed
BRACKEN the superstar 9 overs 2/40 absolutely sensational economy rate
last time SA hit that 438 BRACKEN got 5/67 in a spell we all forgot about.

What a fightback SA lost 9/74 in the that last hour, the AU are back
AU now has 5 scores of 300+ so the batting has not been a problem
in our slump leading up to the world cup
And ROY will be fitter for his 18[13] and 0/19[2]
Not too bad for a guy resuming from a long spell

Spare a thought for HODGE the best 12th man on tour.

For those who follow WATSONs career closley his batting ball by ball chart

drive 1
off drive 1
sweep off off stump 1
sweep to a ball well outside off stump 4
lofted cover drive 2
sweep to a ball wide of off stump 4
mistimed cover drive 0
sweep to ball just missess off stump o
on drive 1

now has
18*[11]
12*[4]
14*[9]

44 off 24 balls

over too you ROD

that run out of Watson's was sensational.

How's the PM of St Kitt's & Nevis giving Hayden and Gibbs honorary citizenship after the game? Bet they treasure that....

Lol. Having just got home from watching my club lose a GF by 1 run (after seeing what could only be described as consistently confounding umpiring decisions) i didn't think anything could cheer me up but you've managed it mal. Pointing to scores of 18, 12 and 14 as an indication of a players worth
