Most of the injuries have happened in games. The ones that haven't have been things like rolled ankles. Most of the guys who have done soft tissues have history with it too, so nothing to do with fitness of coaching. Just part and parcel of footy. Just going through a rough trot. But fingers crossed we get enough back for the finals to have a good structure and give us a chance. What's pleasing is through all the injuries is someone has stepped up, done the job and got us over the line.

Isn't it just a tag team for the Gowans now.

James is due to come back, so he'll probably be back next match at Chris' expense. Seems to be the way it's going this season!

A very similar game to many of the others in recent years between the two sides, with a similar result, don't put the Dogs away and they will put you away. The Eagles boys showed today they can match it with the best but need to be able to do it for the whole match.

Just as an aside from the match my other half spotted Mel and what looked like Anastasia from Amazing Race Australia in the Grandstand today supporting the Doggies....(did i read somewhere that Mel does or did go out with a Dogs player??)
Trust the process.

The 3 week break cost us today. We started well fresh but in the second half lack of match toughness started to affect us.
Some poor undisciplined acts by senior players also cost us at times.
The umpires were the usual joke for both teams. a little consistency would help

Also, Eddie for one believes he's as fit now as he's ever been. With the different pre-season he lost about five kilos and increased his strength. His form and running times, probably helps to highlight this.

I thought if someone got reported, a 50 metre penalty was applied. Is this true? Regarding injuries, I'm afraid to say...........Chris & James, your magnificent careers are almost over, hopefully You will get the record you deserve but you are carrying far too many injuries now & will soon become liabilities. How good is Sansbury this year, thanks to the extra training.

Yep with all the injuries the Gowans are getting this year its pretty safe to say this is their last season of SANFL football.

Imho Sansbury will go very close to the Magarey just depends on how many 3 votes that bloke from North Adelaide gets.

Yes, the turning point WAS Schiller's chase & tackle, inspirational stuff. Yes, the umpiring was abysmal.

Eddie is currently fourth favourite:

ALLAN James (North) $3.20
McKENZIE Mark (Eagles) $4.50
THOMAS Paul (Centrals) $5.00
SANSBURY Ed (Centrals) $7.00
PFEIFFER Darren (Norwood) $8.00
CROSS Josh (South) $12.00
CAMPBELL Bryce (Norwood) $13.00
SUCKLING Mark (Norwood) $15.00
McGUINESS Keiran (Norwood) $15.00
LIDDLE Nick (South) $15.00

He and Thomas will probably nick votes from eachother...

Yeah a few got on him at better odds earlier in the season hey Bulldog2004

Would love to see Dutchys face if Eddie did win the Magarey.

Archard and Allan nearly tied for the MM 2 years ago. Brown and O'Connor tied from Port. Vote stealing isn't a big factor.

throw in the fact Thomas wont get near any votes in the last 5-6 weeks of football either.

Also i think when Weatherald won the Magarey there were a few Sturt players in the top 5 iirc

Agreed.
The winning side usually always gets the majority of the votes. If your club wins 17 or 18 games thats a bucket load of votes to split between players.
