One would've thought that Tendulker had played enough cricket NOT to back up too far in case of this eventuallity.

Poor old India.

West Indies 20 years at the top
Australia 17 years at the top
India 20 months at the top
England 1 week at the top

And with so much 'young' talent the future is clearly so bright for India. Young guns Laxman, Tendulkar, the super fit Zaheer, Harbajhan and Dravid have the drive to back up and win anywhere in the world and with their whole careers in front of them.

Never been so happy to see the Poms win a series.

Love this post REB.
I have been saying for a while now that India is made up of some old heads which is fine but good did anyone see how Australia have gone down? the answer to that would clearly be no from india.

Dravid, Laxman, Tendulkar, Sehwag, Dhoni, Khan and Singh are all starting to get to that age bracket, and perhaps a few of them are well and trully in it! So in the next few years they are going to have to replace 4 batsmen in Laxman, Dravid, Sehwag and Tendulkar. Dhoni is not getting any younger and Khan is starting to get the curse of the fast bowler.

I proabably should have added to the fact that Sharma and Sreesanth along with Kumar are looking like the best Indian seemers at the
moment. Sharma goes alright, but Sreesanth and Kumar...well there you go.

And you add RP "Swing" Singh...

Not a gun, but a handy back up bowler...

Reminds me of McGrath, Lee, Gillespie, with an Andy Bichel type unable to break into the main side...
