Does he still play T20 for Australia?

Alright so we've got Melbourne Renegades here, Rajasthan in India, the Dolphins in South Africa, was meant to play for Surrey in England's T20 comp but pulled out injured and had signed with a team in the Sri Lankan Premier League until that comp was postponed until next year. Throw in the Redbacks at next month's Champions League too, blimey.

Wasn't there something in the paper recently about him supposedly about to sign with Gillespie's team in Zimbabwe too?

Good on him. Might as well make a living doing it, if they'll pay the dough.

I would only hire Tait on a balls bowled basis.

Seems to me like he will be doing quite a bit of bowling.

Only if he could work out how to avoid doing that....

Shaun Tait, the Australia fast bowler, is set to add to his tally of Twenty20 teams after agreeing terms with Zimbabwean domestic franchise Mid West Rhinos. Tait will play for Rhinos during Zimbabwe's domestic Twenty20 competition in late November this year.

Does every one bag Ian Harvey or Andrew Symonds as much for when they turned their back on Aussie cricket to chase the money overseas? Or Pollard or Afridi or Gayle or the many other players who are also tour the world playing 20/20?

Ian Harvey gave limited overs and Shield cricket his best and despite some impressive skills he was around at the wrong time with many quality all-rounders in the Australian team(s).

Andrew Symonds gave his country great service in limited overs and Test cricket. Perhaps not as dedicated as he could have been, but he did it.

Shaun Tait simply has not. Now he is playing in about 142 different T20 comps ranging from the IPL to some gazelle dodging joke in Zimbabwe.

Pollard, Afridi and Gayle I couldn't care less about.

Tait isn't physically able to play longer forms of the game. It's not that he is choosing not to, he can't physically do it.

This joke you speak of is playing for a team coached by Gillespie, a good friend of Tate. Nothing in that? I'd argue there is. My mail suggests his match fee is almost non-existant and he is being compensated for accomodation/travel.

How do you know how much Tate gave to play test cricket? He got there, must have given a lot. Couldn't stick around due to health issues, neither could Bruce Reid. The difference being Reid wasn't smart enough to listen to his body IMO.

Hey, I've never questioned that.

But, if you rate having a suit case full of pyjamas from all over the planet and a pocket load of cash over having a baggy green that requires repair from too much sun damage and a pocket full of cash, thats fine. I dont.
