That bakery is owned by former Sturt player Damian Obst. And yes, viewing is exceptional I must say from doing deliveries there ;)
I love grapes. With grapes, you always get another chance. You know, if you have a crappy apple or a peach, you’re stuck with that crappy piece of fruit. If you have a crappy grape, no problem-just move on to the next. ‘Grapes: The Fruit of Hope.

John Opies Bakehouse on Unley road. Was opposite Walford for a number of years but then shut in early 00's.
Has re-opened within the last month or so on the western side a bit further south, haven't been in yet but their Pasties were to die for, and they did a mean pizza bread, great on sunday at about 11am after a big saturday.

Forbes shopping centre, Marion rd - Pepper pastie is great, haven't seen them around much. Chilli sausage roll is tops too.

Akkermans Blackwood Bakery - Beef, guinness and cheese pie. Awesome dark rye bread too.

St Peters - their family potato steak pie is amazing.

Bluebird bakery, Brighton - best cream cakes going around

Yankalilla bakery - great Ned Kelly pie, biggest eclairs in the biz.

DO NOT go to the Seacliff Park bakery on Seacombe road...worst. pies. ever.

Anyone know a spot with a good hot curry pie?

I like a hot curry, almost everywhere you go has the "Aussie palate" curry with just a hint of chilli.

I haven't found any that really inspire me in the Stirling area.
I'm still missing to some extent the 13 restaurants and 4 bakeries within 2 Km when I lived in the Dandenong Ranges.
[But I'm not missing the 75 minute drive to the Melbourne CBD!]

Alot of these bakeries just sell these delicious treats...... a fair few of them get stuff delivered from other bakeries so you'll find these same treats far and wide...

Millies in stirling and st georges bakery on port rush rd are awesome. Always call in when going past. St georges has people lined up almost out the door whenever I've been in.

Recently had a cornish pasty from the Clarendon Bakery. Absolutely superb- huge, tasty and less than $3.

Millies taste pretty good, but I find they're a bit overpriced (like most things in Stirling I guess) and aren't all that filling. The service is pretty hit and miss there too. Just my experiences anyway :p
