I agree that the change of system in finals is something that could be looked at. Tucky played section 1 all last year and made runs and the year before he won his team a section 2 premiership to get them to section 1.

He ( Tucky ) won them a section 2 flag to get them into section 1, last time i checked there was 11 players in a side.
Looks like the A Grade could have done with his help, after finishing equal 2nd bottom, i'm sure they don't want to go back to section 2 after doing the hard work to get to section 1.

GF on the weekend Keswick v ICC, This hurts but Keswick in a close one for me.
Section 2 Sth Rd to continue undefeated
Section 3 Morphy Pk, my upset tip
Section 4 Belair, unless the old boy's Marsh, Brigamanis & Pitt fire up well then plympton could get over the line.
Section 5 Nth Haven Tucky's side ???
Section 6 Shiedow Pk
Section 7 Ramblers

After South Road breaze the Section 2 GF this week (They wont Choke 'Cough Cough WYC') watch for them to be a real Contender in Section 1 next year they all bowl in tight and good areas, they field superbly and they have some star Batsmen right down the list and with word that they could gain A Sacred Heart 1st 11 Wicket keeper/batsmen dont be surprised if teams are chasing South Road all Next year

They should have been playing Section 1 this season. They are a far better side than 2 or 3 other teams in Section 1 but remain a 1 team club which is their biggest downfall.

I wouldn't say that, but there is a distinct lack of comradery within the club, 3 ppl at the pub celebrating a semi final win will testify to that.

How did they choke last year they where half the side they are this year. Keswick may as well not waste their weekend and just get pissed at West Beach they'd put up more of a fight there then if they rocked up to Edwardstown to play South Road they wont even get even close to South Road. Put your Money on the Fridge South Road for 07

Seem extremely proud of having your A grade in Section 2 there Tightlines.Perhaps the relegation over the last couple of years has hurt a bit? I can also state section 1 cricket is much better then it was 3 years ago.Dont expect to come back up and have every side "chasing you" LMAO.

I,as much as I hate the word "choke" when it comes to cricket/football do agree with you somewhat about the Youth Centre in the semi, however, the only 2 teams to beat us this year are playing in the GF.So,well deserved by those teams and perhaps WYC were beaten by the two best teams in the comp.Maybe, maybe not.

Grand Finals

Postby Westsider » Tue Mar 27, 2007 8:37 pm

Sect 1 - ICC Sharks 188 - Keswick 143
Sect 2 - Keswick II 148 - South Road 4/149
Sect 3 - Morphettville Park II 90 - Sheidow Park II 6/92
Sect 4 - Belair 200 - Plympton Footballers III 8/208
Sect 5 - Sheidow Park IV 9/171 - North Haven IV 144
Sect 6 - Coromandel Ramblers IV 65 - Keswick IV 9/171
Sect 7 - Keswick V 107 - Coromandel Ramblers V 5/109

Keswick the GF chokers this year... 5 teams in the finals...4 teams in GF's... 1 premiership (section 6)

ICC Sharks... suprise Sect 1 premiers, finished 4th

Section 4 and 7 - Top 2 teams didnt make finals - maybe time for a change to the finals structure? 1v2 - winner through to GF and has weekend off, loser plays winner of 3v4?

John Strawbridge ripping thro Morphys in Section 3 taking the first 7. Roadies by a country mile in Section 2, Sharkies peaking when it matters and it seems that Sheidow Park showed they had the grit to knock off a Highly Fanced Nth Haven side lead by Tucky. And ow yeh Gees Kewsick must be punching the air with their Section 6 Premiership. Not a bad weekend of Cricket

looks like tucky got stranded not out... sheidow must have bowled well
rumour has it that there was 1 or 2 dodgy umpiring decisions which may have well influenced the outcome of the match, but at the end of the day Sheidow won which was good for them

As Booney has said earlier..let's see how you go against their A grade. I'd suggest that having four sides appear in Grand Finals shows that Keswick are actually a pretty strong at the moment although if they had to pick the one flag it would be the ones and not the sixes. Hopefully humility is an attribute you can acquire in the new season.

I do recall,as mentioned before,Panorama's reluctance to join Section 1 kept South Road in Div 1 for a year, even after they had finished bottom.
