Various top level sports have mid season trading its hardly a new phenomena.
Where it may have some affect is that it has the potential to change outcomes for some of the sides if they get the right players, if a side is getting smashed each week in the ruck because of injury, so they trade someone for ruckman they can well turn that around whereas currently they have to accept it and hope that someone steps up to the role.
Clearly there are various advantages and probably disadvantages to be had - thoughts?

According to the Footy Show tonight, Mid Season Trading is on the table and likely to happen as early as the 2012 season.....
Look at anything the EPL are doing and rest assured the AFL will follow in their footsteps, Two Divisons and Player Loaning will be the next cabs of the rank - watch this space!
