Heard that S Beer will play his last game @ Para Hills oval this week, will it be A's Or more likely B's??
Hope that a few get down to see him off.. 300+ games good effort.. Spoke to 1 of his good mates last weekend & was told even though everyone thinks he's finished with the back problems he has ( bulged disc & getting needles to play) he might go around again? To help out the club

It was a couple of weeks back mate.

No he will be playing his last game ever at PH this weekend, I'm not talking about his 300th, his last home game

Make sure everbody gets down there, it will be a honour to see the old man get on the park for the last time. We will save a shit load of money next year in tape and pain killers........good effort S Beer :supz: :supz:

Think Flinders Park and Smosh play a similiar style of footy that may be vulnerable come finals, compared to the hard at it, even team style that M and P play. Have only seen all four sides a couple times this year, but see what happens.......

Big call mate. The winner of the game will finsih in the top 3 one would assume, but will ahve to play a few away finals yet.

So the match day official had to yell out to his team to get in position. Apparently its the players responsibility to know when to get into position. The umps wont be calling the players to get into position. Also we had the umps doing the centre square ball ups outside the circle. They decided it was too mundy. Every ball up the position would change, a lot of the time to even worse off positions than the designated centre circle.

Can't say the strawberry blonde with no eyebrows did a great job. He was inconsistant all day. Turns out the fella who got a shocking red card also got 2 weeks at the tribunal tonight. I thought a yellow card would have been a bit harsh considering some of the other things people get away with but a red card in the second quarter and 2 games on top of that? Thats nearly 3 games for a late bump that even the CBC lads didnt take much notice of. I'm sure if any of the cbc lads were that angry with it they wouldve gone up to him and given him hell! Does anyone know if their is an appeal system or anything like that at the tribunal?

Absolutely laughable to be given a card at all for that.

It makes no sense to me why two young and inexperienced umpires are scehduled to officate the one match. How hard could it be to pair one with a more experienced umpire?? Absolutely amazed this doesn't happen. The only reason I can think of is that the umpires are asking to be put with their mates and if so that's bollocks. As far as I'm concerned they are paid to umpire by the league and so should go where they're told. They might even learn something, such as the difference between a bump in a contest resulting in a player loosing their footing and a cardable offence.

Given that I can't think of any successful occasions where a player has appealed his suspension when an umpire has reported them, I'm peeved that a teammate now sits out two weeks of footy because some lad thought that wearing white meant he was the third team people go to see at the footy.

shocked that BT got games for that late bump.... yes it deserved a down the ground free but as flipper said was a very soft red card & now 2 games on top of it?? As PK12 said if it was that bad im sure at least 1 CBC player would have remonstrated with him.

should be an awesome game this week at hawky park, doubt the oval will hold up with the predicted rain over the next couple of days. Def don't agree with that earlier post that the winner of this weeks game will go on to win the flag - FP have been top most of the year & SMOSH have been very impressive when we played them. will be a ripper finish to the year in div 3 with the battle for top between FP, SMOSH, Portland and Mitcham, Seaton & Pooraka playing for 5th & the battle to avoid relegation with GG having 2 massive weeks ahead of them to stay up in div 3.

Biggish couple of weeks for us.....
I love grapes. With grapes, you always get another chance. You know, if you have a crappy apple or a peach, you’re stuck with that crappy piece of fruit. If you have a crappy grape, no problem-just move on to the next. ‘Grapes: The Fruit of Hope.

Our oval is in mint condition now :)

I swear every week the Div3 Sportsbeat article's mains focus is the 'Battle of the Relegation Zone'. There is another interesting battle going on at the important end of the ladder!

thought that might be the case is it mainly the centre square (cricket pitch) or is it majority of the ground not held up, i would probably prefer to play at your ground in the bog than when its dry as the surface can be very hard and dangerous when its warm and no rain, this should be an absolute belter and us and mitcham always seem to have very tight finishes, cat wait

Yeha haven't quite worked out why the sportsbeat post Pembroke's Newsletter every week?

Good to see Fletcher reads the forum though - have a crack at him, so he writes an article saying how good we're going!

Campo in brisbane this week with the crows, but hopefully available for FP game. What's the minimum no. of games required for finals?

2 games to go and every position could change.
I expect the ladder to finish at rd 18
1.Flinders.
I tip them to beat PH away this week and Smosh next week at home
If they lose to Smosh next week i think they will finish third on percentage
2.Portland.
Tip them to beat Mitcham away this week and Pooraka at home next week
If they lose to Mitcham they will finish 4th
3.Smosh
Tip them to beat Seaton at home this week, but lose to Flinders Park next week
Rd18 is a massive clash. win = top and week off, lose and they are 3rd
4. Mitcham
Massive game this week, i think Portland have the wood on them, so tip Portland for the win and Mitcham will beat Pembroke away next week
Win against Portland and they should finish second on percentage
5.Pooraka
Win v CBC Lose v Portland.
If seaton cause an upset this week, Pooraka should finish 6th
6. Seaton.
Tough game this week. SMOSH at Smosh.. Win and its finals lose and its all over. will be PH next week at home
7.Pembroke.
Win v GG and avoid relegation battle. Lose to Mitcham next week
Lose both weeks and can still get relegated by percentage IF they lose both games by substantial margins (unlikely)
8.CBC
Lose to Pooraka this week away and win v GG next week to leapfrog PH
Lose to GG and Div 4 bound next year
9. Para Hills
Will lose both weeks.
Can still avoid relegation IF CBC lose both games and GG lose 1 of there remaining 2.
10. Golden Grove
Tipped them to lose in 2 close games v Pembroke at home and CBC away
Very kind draw for the last 2 games.. Simple.. Win 2/2 and stay in div 3.

Tip
Flinders v SMOSH GF

If your tips are correct I would expect mitcham to finish 3 and smosh to finish 4. I expect mitcham vs Portland to be a close one and smosh vs seaton to be close one. I think they'll get smosh on percentage come rd18 as you would expect them to beat pembroke more then what flinders would beat smosh
