Has anyone heard how the Div 1 Club trials went on the weekend?

Was anyone at the ROC's v TTG game or have a result?

Gepps played Broadview Thursday night....think Broadies won by bout 2 goals in a tight contest however Gepps only played their guns in Smith, Clonan and Phillips for a half each.

Found out last night TTG won in a fairly uneventful game against ROC's. Does anyone expect much from the two promoted Clubs in '07?

It's hard to tell this early, and a big step up to Div 1, but the two teams did dominate Div 2 with a big gap to the rest of the field.

Didn't Gullies pick up Pitt, Pascoe & Wicks? That won't hurt them I wouldn't think, I'd reckon they'd stay up.

i agree TTG and Gepps were a step above the rest last year, TTG in particular. At least one of the clubs will stay up, dont think Townies
will put anything in the win column this year!

Young Burgess From Broadview on his day can be a match winner. Noticed him a few times I got to go watch A1 last year and I think he kicked 6 or 7 in a losing side to gaza, and by the looks he has a damaging left foot. kicks it long distances.

Heard on the weekend that Goodwood have signed Matt Illman as a replacement for Kendrick Tyrell. Should provide some reasonable value.

Anton Geradis was allegedly sacked from GAZA, due to problems following the footy trip to the gold coast. The details of what he did need not to be mentioned, although it resulted in him no longer being welcome at GAZA, he is now playing on the York Peninsula playing for Ardrossen!

Interesting news about Geradis. Gaza has been pretty quiet. Heard Mead has not been that well received. Has anyone heard who they lost (apparently Ando took a few with him) and who they have picked up. What is the general feeling re. their chances this year?
