Look at it from a Div 1 point of view. If they were to play us and lose, what would that say to other clubs about their prospects for the season?

Like I said, I think the Div 1 sides were scared of losing.

No Div 1 side would be scared of losing to the dev's, surely!!
so what if they lose to a hills team! if anything it means the other div 1 sides might take them lightely when they play each other!! they might think that we'd just be a walk over and not worthy of a trial...?

You could be right there DA but I tend to think Div 1 sides would be pretty arrogant and expect to belt Lofty...and fair enough to I guess, there are some fair players running around in Divvy 1's. That's not to say they would pump the Devs though, there's not too many week links in that side, the midfield would give the forwards a fair number of opportunities regardless of who they played.

Have the Lofty captains been named as yet?
