Works both ways. You're hiding behind an avatar to make your comments.

Have you got anything to say in support of Travis?

With West not playing this weekend (split round), could some of their players come back to Riverland clubs?
Would be great to see Bonney, Hankin etc running around in the RFL this weekend.

had a chat with a few of these lads, Bonney (Barmera) and Hankin (Berri) were not given the option to play home, But Jennings (Berri) Schiller (Waikerie) and Kirk (Loxton) could still be coming back to play.

I know Travis very well. I am well aware of his desirable and less desirable traits. I also know that there are alot of people out there, majority, that take pleasure in seeing him not fulfill his potential.

Any kid that doesn't achieve potentially what they can is a huge disappointment but to constantly be reminded of that is even more disappointing, particularly on here.

I still have very high hopes for Travis, but I'm very doubtful that he'll get the support he needs to achieve that living in the Riverland, there seems to be too many people that love to remind him of the negatives rather than support him or shut up about it and actually talk about football.

I also think targeting kids, particularly on the footy oval, is gutless, regardless of how tough they seem.

high hopes for travis?! reaching for the stars playing indy footy thats for sure!
and as far as targeting kids go....its a GF, if your big enough to step out, play the game on the day and take the wrap if you win, as far as im concerned your big enough to cop it

trav could probably do something with his footy if he stopped making excuses, realised hes stuffed up and said im gonna have a crack and do something. instead hes come back got a clearance through after the deadline (who knows why) and taken the lazy option of indy footy.

I don't know the kid, never met him, and only reading what I see in here, but at some point in a persons life they have to stop making excuses and blaming those around them for their failings, and they have to take their own positive steps.

If getting out of the Riverland is going to help him in the long run, then that's probably what he should be doing (I'm assuming your suggesting there are bad influences around him) ... having everyone around him blowing sunshine up his arse is probably not going to get him too far.

Again, I'm somewhat ignorant to what has taken place, but isn't it him that has the tribunal record ?

Incorrect. I know for a fact how much local clubs tried to assist him achieve all he can be. No one takes pleasure in seeing it because they've invested much more than just time and energy in him.

Good luck. Two very good clubs with strong junior teams and a strong junior focus have tried. People in those clubs bent over backwards for him. And he was quick to repay that faith by stabbing them in the back.

Never seen him unfairly targeted with rough or violent play. 2010 Grand Final is a classic example of him wanting to walk the walk, losing the plot and effectively any chance his team had on the day. Before the first bounce this all was.

BF, I can see you've got good intentions etc, but to think clubs in the RFL didn't give their all in looking after him, is just plain ignorant.

Perhaps you will succeed were they failed, sure, would be good to see. Good luck with it.

Travis Wilson. Not targeted in the Grand final is a joke. A bloke that cant even play football who is also suppose to be a school teacher in the region targeted him before the first bounce and continued. I agree that it was a grand final, but why else would Ridgeway of been playing? He s no good!!

Travis however is a very talented kid with a lot of issues, but if he could get some guidance, he could be anything!!

Good luck Trav!!

Ever heard of a tag? Quality players know how to handle one. Trav lost the plot. Plain and simple.

Nothing wrong with Berri's tactics in that grand final. Happens every finals game and in all major games ever year. Has been going on since the dark ages. If you cant thandle the heat, get outa the kitchen. He was one of Barmera's keys on that day and Berri knew if they could stop him or get in his head that would go a long way to winning - the rest is history. Every decent player has to deal with this at some stage of their footy life.

Travis has all the ability under the sun, as we all know, but its time now he has to earn our respect back. Only he can do that as he was the one who lost it in the first place. Hope BF can steer him on the right track but I'm not holding my breath.

Just for everyone on here Big Fulla, what club are you aligned with, or what league for starters, and how do you plan to turn the kid around.

I'm sure everyone on here would applaud your efforts if you managed to put him on the right track. Lyrup is not where he needs to be though IMO
