They were approved at a SACA Committee meeting last night and are likely to be released to the public in about two weeks.
For those involved in A Grade, there will be five Sunday matches (covering A Grade, the one day comp and T20).
I can also confirm that SACA will be hosting the Australian Under 19 carnival from January 11 - 20 next year.

Things pretty quiet on here at the minute, thought there might have been more talk on some issues.
1. Which club bid the highest for Minnie.
2. Peoples thoughts on the change of BankSA to U16 from U17.
3. Premier League, will it happen this year?
4. Berry apparently being out flanked by Cox in recruting Crosthwaite, other people would call it something else.

Anyway, hope this generates something worthwhile to discuss, debate, argue about.

I think the change is intended to provide the SACA with the best under 16 players playing eachother to help identify them as possible U17 squad members the following season. (shouldnt they be performing in the Red/Seniors if they were good enough?) Another sh*t decision by SACA.

Hey, the clubs voted for it. Sometimes I wonder how many of the club's delegates actually consult the players and coaches before going back and voting on these motions. I know WT does but how many others do?

It perhaps takes into account that a lot of Under 16's don't get to play many Grade matches due to College commitments? With the Bank SA Shield taking place during the holidays, College cricketers are available.

How it it another one-day comp? It is not additional, the age criteria just changed by one year.

Did they SH, check your mail I suggest, got over the line by Uni's vote and the casting vote of the Chairman. So ET gets two votes - no surprise they voted for it and Uni who don't have a junior team also voted for it. Perhaps the lure of some extra cash decided the issue for some clubs. Have you ever had to consult your players on what they want - probably not I suggest, generally all they want to do is play cricket, hence the reason volunteers run the clubs and make the decisions, what you forget is most of the volunteers have a very big background in grade cricket.

All I'm saying is it wasn't a decision made without input from the clubs. Regardless of how the voting went, it was obviously close and it got up.

As it is the players that are directly affected by many of the SACA decisions and they are the ones that have to cop it when poor decisions are made, I would say yes - we do have to consult our players (particularly our experienced senior players) on many of these issues. Life and cricket has changed a great deal in the past 30 years and the opinions of some of the older volunteers just don't stack up in the modern world. I'm not sayng this is the case in this particular matter of U16s vs U17s, but more generally I think it is important that the players actually get a chance for input before a club votes a certain way.

Personally I think the decision made was incorrect, and was based purely on whats best for High Performance rather than what is best for the Grade Club and development of their 1st year senior players. I think the arguement that they get to see the best U16's is flawed, based on the theory that they will anyway. Opinions are always valued, not necessarily agreed upon, but without opinions we end up with dictatorships. Anyway decision made - move on.

Yes, the draw has been released to clubs. It is available on the websites of a number of the clubs, including the West Torrens one.

Geez FS you want to play Grade Cricket but not travel south of Anzac Highway, maybe regional 20/20 cricket in ATCA would be more suitable.

Maybe the Stingrays have upgraded there facilities and have purchased a shelter for you this year:)
