   Thats what one of the commentators on the radio broadcast said anyway.
I missed the first 15 minutes of the actual footy while I watched the TW show.

Apparently if you move to the region you can get cleared.
Defeats the purpose of having a cutoff date if you ask me....

I thought this only applied to people who get transferred for employment reasons such as coppers, ambo's

I think it also applies if you keep coppers and ambo's in a job.

it is 3 but if you played the !st game of the year and broke your ankle you can ask the league to allow you to play finals without having to play 3 games. BC the majority of the last seven is so you play B grade finals if you have been in A grade all year in other words an A grader can play 12 games and the play the last 4 in the Bs and he is quallified for B grade finals

As reported in the Pioneer on 2/8/11 The Riverland Footy league will establish a code of conduct due to some incidents of umpire abuse involving spectators. Is there any chance the umps may have their own code of conduct as to getting closer to the play rather than bunkering down at chf or chb and making numerous incorrect long range decisions which create angst among the players and supporters!!

I think you will find Lakesider that umpiring from a direct line CHF - CHB gives the umpires the best view of the play. While at the same time they are not getting in the way of the play.

Of course it is impractical for the umpires to stand on the hill with the spectators which is the obvious best vantage point to pick up every possible free kick.
