SA v TAS - Sheffield (Pura Cup) Shield

First Class Cricket Talk (International and State)

Good result for SA with the two teams above us playing each other with a result very unlikely, barring a ridiculous declaration, we will be equal top presuming we get the 8 wickets tomorrow...

Cullen Bailey has taken his 3rd 2nd innings wicket...TAS now 5/270, still needing 293 more to win...

Hopefully we can skittle their lower order again and get maximum points.

6/270 now, "my boy" Manou has a catch and a stumping off Bailey!!

As I said solid keeper Manou
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!

Redbacks win by 195!

Bailey takes 5/146 to go with his 4 for in the first dig.

good work by Bailey considering he probably only played because Dan Cullen was injured
and Boof showed his allround skills by picking up 3

It looks like baggygreen.com may have updated the tables already as we've played 6 now haven't we?
Looks like everyone has and we're equal top with NSW, is that right?

At the start of the season I wasn't too worried about, well, anyone in the Moo Moo knocking off the mighty Blues but at this point of the season I'm not quite as confident. Bloody Gilly has gone on holiday and taken our wickky and we've lost nearly our entire attack to the bloody one day side. Now Jacques Jacques Jacques has been called up and the last straw occured when I noticed that it was about ten years since the Jellybacks won the Shield and this has been their cycle ever since the Shield started so they are bloody due.

At least when you play the Bulls in a Shield final you know you're more than half a chance at home or away but the 'backs could well do anything in March. Beware of Stewie at the Esky G in March I say. You have been Warned, oh hang, no you haven't LOL.

regards,

REB
