Finally it will put an end to the Taylor Walker to GWS rumours.

Well done to Phil, honesty in football - a rare commodity.

Massive blow for the Crows, but at the end of the day why leave players uncontracted in these times if you didn't want to risk losing them, I don't get that!!

Not the clubs choice mate, the players managers are to blame.... always wanting the asking price to increase!

Can't they trade a player though if the player won't commit to a new contract?

Adelaide should have every right to be dirty, top 10 pick and the crows are left with stuff all.

To quote the club from the media release, “To lose another centre half back after the loss to Gold Coast of Nathan Bock last year is certainly not ideal. I can ensure all our members and supporters that we did everything in our powers to get Phil to stay, including putting forward an offer well in excess of any offer to an 18 game player in the club’s history.”

I don't think we can be too critical of the club, it's the nature of the competition we're in and the timing of the franchises coming in. Having said that, a top 10 pick and a North boy, I'm pretty peeved!

Loyalty is something I hold in high regard Voice. I can understand Nathan leaving withonly a few years left to play but not Phil im sorry.

I can change the title of the thread if you wish  the use of 'break a leg phil' is not meant in a detrimental way more in 'jest' as he has left AFC high and dry.

FYI the damage has been done with me, hence i wont be playing!

I wonder if they can do a deal to get Ben Kennedy to the Crows?

I thought that aswell, but GWS don't really need to "make a deal" as Davis is/was uncontracted, so the Crows don't really get any say in his decision.

Maybe they could give whatever priority pick they get back for Davis to GWS for Kennedy?

Cant believe the Crows fans are wingeing. All the clubs voted on letting GC and GWS enter and knew there would be ramifications. Same as when the VFL clubs allowed sides like the Crows and Port enter. We didnt want to lose Wanganeen for nothing but guess what, we did. Im sure clubs hated losing players to the crows when they entered. It happens and its something all clubs will have to get used to as im sure there willbe more clubs added in future

massive blow for the crows, but with the money GWS offered crows will get two First round draft picks. apparently its 850,000 a year over 3 years. he will be in the top 10 of paid players in the AFL.
but Phil and Bocky show how honest the AFC players and Club are, First players to come out and say yeah i am going.

Won't be anywhere near enough for Kennedy I wouldnt think .. The two SA clubs would have to pay over the odds for him I think (and I reckon they should seriously consider that)
