Yeah, both good players just dont seem to get the chances from the coaches in the Agrade, as last few weeks show they can kick goals.

How weird, could be a situation where every team has a team in the grand final.

Thirds - South / Sollies
Seconds - Lions / Port
A's - Centrals / West

what was the score between Westies and the Squids? When did the G-Man yell out his gee-up? Must have been hilarious.

lions are the biggest basket case in sgl footy history. absolute disgrace feel sorry for Adrian Duck Davies as seeing this mob throw performances like they did yesterday would be killing him inside being the hard player/competitor he was. The clubs in big strife and there would only be one person who would want to take them over that person being Brian Smith who has failed at every club he has been at. R.I.P Lions.

yes agree solomontown were bad for a long period. Talent has been there for three years now and they have had there chance and blown it and now players look like they dont want to even play there anymore. There is some trouble at the club on the players part because they were just going through the motions and didnt want to be there and show no pride in the jumper or for there coach and supporters.

He is their best player and they certainly could have used him in that last quarter. Can anybody shed some light on what happened to him? I heard a collarbone?
I watched the game and I really didn't anticipate such a comeback. West are a momentum side and Ports seemed to be holding them at arms length but once West got a sniff, there was no stopping them. Joel Coulthard can take a mark.
Should be a good contest between a couple of form sides this coming week, both with sights set on pinching a top 2 spot.

Have to remember they are still only very young, nearly all of them are under 21. What I think Lions need to do is get a few more experienced players over that will show some fight. Maybe a change of coach too, might be getting a little stale down there.

yes not sure about that but i see solomontown have a bunch of kids too. Id dought they would get any better than Duck Davies and looking at Brian Smiths coaching record i certainly wouldnt be giving it to him as i understand he has been doing most of the training and talking at lions this year and that may explain why they are going the way they are.

Maybe the Sollies kids are more keen to impress through Bobs coaching style, I think a new coach might be needed at the Lions, I dont know who though, this Brian Smith you are talking about doesnt sound too good. Surely they would have an ex player that could coach. They could also promote Ash Dunkley to the league coaching role, he would know most of the players very well coaching them through the 18's where they had lots of success. Sollies do have arguably the best player in the league playing for them also....

yes price i gather your talking about? I agree i reckon Ashleigh Dunkley would be a great coach that would have the respect of the players thats for sure, he was as hard as nails and a great footy player. Well i can only go on Brian Smiths record and the things you here around the traps and the word is he wont cut the mustard and is not liked as a coach over there now.

Well what a weekend for SGL footy- turned on its head!! Centrals with players missing getting trounced by South, West motoring over the top of a standstill Port and Sollies trying to keep their season alive with a thumping of Lions.
I'm sure Duck would be touched by your warm support ST given your previous posts on him.
I am not sure that Lions are not just Sollies or even Port without money! Pirie has a great participation rate with their local sport but the amount of blokes that play senior mens hockey (4 grades!) and soccer with virus and savloy does weaken the talent pool here that play footy. Even though the population base in Pirie/Augusta are roughly the same Port Augusta have three strong clubs (credit to them) while Pirie will continue to struggle against this 'problem' over time without imports.
Sorry but also first two results (& their form!!) means only one of the Pirie sides will get in and it will be interesting to see the fallout from that!

Never said that squids, of course they do, as does Sollies & Ports, but Lions dont as they cant afford it.
Take Sollies imports (at least 5) out and the game would not have been so one sided.
