Statement by a Liberal Member of Parliament on his own website that has no proof and is just a claim to be able to read the future.

Why are you looking at a Liberal Party Member's website, let alone quoting it as 'eveidence'?????

st, I've got a quiz for you.

Question 1: Spot the difference between a company announcing thousands of new jobs and an anti-carbon tax spokesman predicting jobs will be lost.

Question 2 will follow, as Question 1 is really difficult.

PS: Still waiting for your reference to the PM saying 'No jobs will be lost"

No st, Abbott says the rest of the world aren't doing anything and this is all Greens inspired.

Here is a Conservative Prime Minister saying it's the right thing to do and Gillard is doing a brave and correct thing.

You perhaps don't realise the significance of this. It undermines a large part of Abbott's argument.

The British PM's comments certainly make a change from all the doom and gloom predictions you're posting on this forum.

And speaking of doom and gloom - I'm still waiting for some substantiation of your comment that the Greens "would have us all live like gypsys". Exactly which Greens policy will turn me into a gypsy?

As far as I can see this article is all Mr. O'Dowds words - not Mr. Swans.

Oh and by the way the last I heard Mr. O'Dowd has 10,000 shares in East Energy Resources, a coal exploration and development company.

I might have missed it but I can't recall them having said this st.

Can you please provide a link or transcript where Gillard and/or Swan told us there would be no job losses as a result of the carbon tax.

st, you can bluster all you like and you can talk about jobs being safe all you like, but we're waiting for your proof that Julia Gillard and Wane Swann said NO jobs would be lost.

st, you're right, Flannery has definitely shown himself to be self-interested. Has done very well for himself by selling his ideas and himself. However, let's not forget that he he isn't a climate scientist and does not undertake climate science research.

You can easily argue that the likes of Flannery, Gore etc, have been opportunistic, but you can't argue against the mountain of scientific evidence produced by faceless climate scientists.
