Ports skills were down after qtr time again and couldnt stop norwoods midfield gaining control and spent the rest of the game chasing dark blue jumpers around

I never said the umpires were good mickey but I did make mention that today, they seemed to let that holding the ball (playing diving on the ball / dragging it in) to the point of ballign it up more often than not.

I thought the umpires were okay but not great today. I have seen worse than what was on display today.

Thought i heard u say they werent too bad after the game on the radio today..

Was the HTB interpretation an SANFL directive did these 3 decide not to pay it?

Maybe I did mate, sorry can't remember.

I have a funny feeling it might have been a directive from higher up but can't comment on whether this was the case at other venues.

Was it the Killer (Daniel Kulikowski) who was running with Eagleton all day mickey? I thought he did a good job if it was him given the run-with role.

Yeah it was, for most of the day anyway, thought he did a great job and seemed to get under Eagletons skin from the start with push and shove before the bounce.. Not bad for a 19yo in his 1st year of league footy agains a bloke who played well over 200 AFL games.

Killers brother also goes alright, few years ago won the B grade & Under 18s B&F in the same season @ Seaton Ramblers

You know what I find amusing? Every week, Eagleton cops the hard tag and has limited possessions ... and yet most weeks Norwood win. Seems to me clubs have this theory if you stop Eagleton, you stop Norwood. While opposition teams are busy nullifying Eagleton, our other midfielders are gathering possessions by the bucketful.

I'm struggling to remember an SANFL player who cops it as much as Eagleton does. Every single week.

depends on the quality of player doing the tagging i think, Killer isnt going to be 1 to tear a game apart like Dolling or Summerton can, therfore having him on the tagging role isnt going to really hinder the way we play, but hopefully stopping an opposition player who, on his day can cause all sorts of trouble

Correct mickey, just like Gallman a couple of weeks ago. The main reason Eagleton gets the hard tag is it totally throws him off his game. If he is left to get easy possies out wide, he can do some damage.

Absolutely correct , he struggles with a hard tag but if you win who cres. Option B is no tag ............Norwood will win most times if that is the case as well. Good post AH ,again.

every time eagleton goes in hard for the ball he gets reported and found not guilty. the amount of times clayton got cheap kicks today i needed more than 10 fingers to count.
