Some massive games going on this weekend, its hard to decide which one to go watch

Was going to go out to Mannum, but the word on the street is that Mypo have been struck down with injuries (had 6 out last week), & Dalwood wrote about Sam Martin being in doubt aswell. So Mannum should get up comfortably out there.

Imps are without Wait so Jervois are a chance, but refuse to go watch that mob.

Only leaves Tailem & Meningie which I think will also be a comfortable win to Tailem. Meningie without Benbow & Ferenchi cant kick a score.

Might stay home & watch the tape of last years GF

Imperials without Harrowfield Seyers Wait Girdham Hodge and Tyler tomorrow. The first 5 probably in their best 6 players. It will give Jervois a real chance and realistically if they are not competitive tomorrow they may as well forget about being a factor at all in the finals. Imperials often play their best football with their backs to the wall and I would expect nothing less tomorrow.

Not sure if Hodge would be in Imps top 6. Kenny & Honner would be in front of him I would have thought.

Looking at Sporting Pulse, some interesting results with Jervois defeating the undermanned Imperials and Mypo getting the points at Mannum.

Looks like some technical problems with some of the TB v Meningie under age games too.

Also, with Tailem defeating Meningie, it looks as though the Bears are perhaps now the first club who are very unlikely to make the finals. Tailem v Jervois next week will presumably determine which club gets 5th position.

So the coach quit because the committee forced Waterhouse to be dropped. Sounds like the club tearing itself apart!

Regarding the coach, I think you will find there was an alleged off field incident a couple of weeks ago, this was witnessed by a commitiee member. quinn didnt play today as he made a stand against the coach, being its him or the coach i guess the players have gone with there captain rather than the coach. Also the AK 47 missfired all day and has blown a piston was seen hobbling around washed up before the game finnished.

Most RMFL supporters who do not barrack for Mannum may find their current situation amusing but the reality is it can happen in any club. Finding a coach is not easy and going for an Adelaide based coached can be fraught with danger. Gary Peach is the only one in recent times who has made a really good fist of it but there have been plenty of ordinary ones. I know Mannum have also had some management problems but for the sake of a dedicated group of local players I hope they get their act together quickly.

Thats a fair point FTO, the only other ones I can think of are Trevor Hill at Mypo, and the Imps coach in the late 90's who coached for a year and got them a flag, although I think he had a previous connection with the club, and Imps were very, very strong that year.

What a stupid comment!!! Clubs do what they have to do to be competitive. Remember Meningie beat Imps at home only weeks ago but since then have had some significant injuries, if they had got a roll on by then the shape of the ladder could be significantly different. Most 'educated' followers of the RMFL are quite pleased with the level in play being more competitive and entertaining this year than the recent 2 years, and to achieve that clubs need to spend money!!!

I think that you will find that the issue from a couple of weeks ago had nothing to do with it.
From what i have been told, Quinn went to the committee and said it is either him or Waterhouse as he was not happy with how much Waterhouse trains.
The committee then told Dolheguy that Waterhouse is not allowed to play and that they wanted him to tell the rest of the team that he was backing up Quinn with this decision.
Dolheguy did nt agree with this so he quit.
Do noit blame him, you can not have the committee picking your team for you.

well its near finals time here in the rmfl, the top 3 teams are certain to make finals, which leaves tailem, mypo and jervois all fighting it out to claim 4th and 5th spot. who would be each clubs x factors and players to watch coming into the finals?? Also with whats happened at mannum, do u think its goin to affect their chances come finals? wouldnt be surprised they get knocked out in straight sets.
