SANFL finals in 2011 require neutral umpires?? (OUTSIDE SA)

Even though the umpiring in the SANFL is at the poorest standard I have seen in 25 years of watching footy I don't think bringing someone from outside is an option. The umpires need better coaching, I think its time for a change there. Too many umpires don't call the first free kick and let two or three go before picking out a soft free. They are too inconsistant again we go back to coaching. I would have to say I think Fila(can't believe he is on the AFL umpiring panel) Hausen, Crosby and
De Boy are the worst umpires in the league at the moment. Even though we all hate Williams I think is one of the better ones just has the experience and is more consistant than most others.

Everyone thinks Williams is against their club. He also cops a lot of anger for what other umpires do. I personally don't think he is the greatest umpire out there, but there are a lot worse.

totally agree with this... everyone team thinks williams is againt their club

being a norwood supporter we all hate willaims because of the 96 prelim...yeah he hgave that decison at the end to cost us thae game but that was there. we were ripped off from quarter time that day by all 3 and that cost us not the last one but williams still gets the blame

now if ur pissed off with umpires and williams is out there he gets the blame because he's the only one everyone knows.

overall i believe the game couldn't be played withoutt he umpires and generally speaking they do a great job of what is not easy an easy job. abusing them as they walk off the way i have seen some people do is not good.

One fantastic umpy in the C grade the other day. He basicly stood at CHB/CHF and called the free's from where he stood. When there was a ball up by the time he made it over there the blokes had a nice little breather. The funny thing was he got no complaints and did as good a job as the other bloke running around like a jack ass. Very funny.
