Round 18 - Glenelg v Panthers @ Glenelg - 2:10pm Sat 30/7/11

Postby GWW » Sun Jul 24, 2011 10:48 pm

Glenelg had a solid win against the Magpies in round 17 and they will need to get the 2 points this week against the Panthers to stay in top 3 contention.

The Panthers will need to lift their intensity after their disappointing performance against Norwood, to be any chance of an upset.

The Panthers' form away from home has improved since early in the season, but I think the Bays will win this one by about 4 goals.

Panthers looked very ordinary today and if they replicate that against the bays then we will see a similar result. South were exposed today by their lack of height in defence. Massie seems to have the bays up and firing, the loss of Allen will hurt but id still expect the bays to win by 6-7 goals.

good couple of weeks for the tigers, 2 wins and had to come from behind late in the game to get up.

I would expect us to win this by at least 10 goals

should be a good game but i think the bays might just be that much hungrier. they have shown some good form since massie took over and the panthers are too inconsistent.

if they had put in a better showing vs the legs, it might be a bit different.

However we underestimate that South side at our peril. There's pretty good on paper too. I believe in our boys ability to get the job done but we can't afford to relax like we did for 2.5 qtrs in June at Noarlunga.
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!

well its my belief that despite the recent history of close games, the tigers will smash south by around ten goals.
