Adelaide and Suburban Cricket Association 2011/12

Local cricket is the go here. Any talk about local comps, grade cricket, etc.

As we all know if you bat your overs out on Western Youth with such
small boundaries and a quick out field, 4 an over is very achievable. Unfortunately mother nature wasn’t kind to
us, we had to call the game off around the 40th over 5 for 150. Once again, the true Ramblers sportsmanship
shone, I said to these guys after the game you should hold your head up high, the way you have conducted
yourselves, unlike Western Youth who went on to win the flag in the process did not do themselves any
favours. I am very strong on saying this, they are a disgrace to Adelaide & Suburban Cricket. :o  :?

Had to laugh at these comments.

The one thing i do like out of the ramblers annual report is how they have a page dedicated to century makers. Nice work.

JC just a reminder your side can't bat and we won the flag. Also the fact that we have only concedes 300 once at our oval in the last 5 years. You were never chasing that total, even if I did bowl the rest of the day from one end

I'm interested to hear what people have to say about the man? In my opinion he is the man ASCA no longer needs.
I just read a very interesting article on the Ramblers website from their annual edition of the 'declaration'. In his A grade season report he blabbed on about how sporting they are and that Coromandel have poor standards and WYC are "a disgrace to ASCA".

If anybody is bored and wants a laugh download the file and have a read. Some may say that I'm stooping to his level...*EDITED BY MODS*

Look forward to a few replies from the Ramblers boys but I get the feeling he is not popular with many in the comp!!

On a positive note, looking forward to training tonight!! Season 11-12 is almost here :)

Im sure JC is going to look forward to discussing these comments with you face to face in the upcoming season. WYC and Ramblers have a healthy and vibrant rivalry and I look forward to the upcoming season. Personally I dont really have an issue with most WYC players as they play the game hard. As for JC he is an excellent clubman who did everything he possibly could to help us win. If that involves getting on the bad side of some other teams so be it. JC put the club first in everything he did and if we had more devoted clubmen like him the Ramblers would be even better placed then we already are. Like I said I and my teammates look forward to discussing these comments in the upcoming season.

IF you were looking for a massive reaction im sorry i couldnt oblige, cause in the end, who really cares what people write on a public internet forum?

I'll make sure I arrive half and hour early with a couple of cans of coke the next time the coromandel Derby takes place. I'll be more than happy to discuss the matter.
I was simlpy stating in my opinion that his comments, which are easily accessible, were unprofessional and not on. One could easily argue that mine are equally as low and fair enough however, this is an open forum, not an official document.

Training was good tonight, only lost my wicket 7 times ;)

i dont believe anyone should label another club as a disgrace to the competition in an official club document which is accessible to not only that club, but to other clubs and members of the public... but then again... everyone has their own style.

Interesting to see the Coro boys move back to the cricket forum. Wouldn't have anything to do with the ban on the footy forum by the Blackwood Footy club by any chance?

Will this be at the Ramblers or are the rumours of joining Warradale have some merit in it?

Nah Ramblers. Im not sure about the captaincy issue, thats something for the committee and JC to work out. JC will play until his body packs it in or his desire leaves him. But hes a pretty fit bloke so that will prolly be a while.

If you read back mate you will notice we've been on here for a while AF. It's a myth anyway, we're not 'banned' from Safooty, just there's nothing worth talking about. We are doing well that's all that matters. How's life outside the 5 anyway? ;)

On a more serious note AF, thoroughly looking forward to playing you guys in a few months as part of our 150th celebrations! Hopefully we can gather a bit of a crowd!!
