Great game of footy, good standard and a very even contest throughout the day. TTG smashed us in the first quarter and lead by nearly 30 points at quarter time, we came back and kicked 7 goals to 1 in the 2nd quarter to lead at half time. I think we were up by 7 goals in the last quarter then Gullies kicked 4 or 5 goals in succession to get within 2 goals with about 3 minutes to go....Pretty physical match, I think the supporters from both teams loved it.

Well it’s the biggest Minor Round game of the year this week and no one has said boo about it so I will. SHOC take on the Mawson Lakes Masters this week, and whilst I still think SHOC will smash anyone and everyone come September, this will be a good game. Riddler have your boys improved since last time SHOC gave you guys a touch up and will Milly be standing Carroll?

i believe you stated they would'nt lose another game jugs?????

As for carroll i've seen first hand Greg Kells do a fantastic job on a better full forward than carroll so the smart money say's that he would be first pick to have a crack at the big fella saying this tho i've seen kellsy has being running around in the 2's his surley not trying to be a forward again is he? leave that to us blokes kellsy
you've gota keep on keep'n on .........

Told You ;)

I heard North Pines were down by 10 goals at half time Saturday v Angle Vale and still won? With Pines on the rampage all of a sudden the MP v TTG game this week becomes huge with the loser possibly missing out on a finals spot!

His a big unit Carrol. Killed us in the A grade in what was a pretty dark day for us. Our C grade were the only shining light of the triple header.

Got to ask a question though to the SHOC posters. Does your B grade coach always carry on like a nutter??? Also in the B grade you full forward would have only kicked a couple of goals for the day yet in the paper and on the website his listed as kicking 5. Now I know the guy is close to kicking 100 goals for the season but makes me wonder how many of them were kicked???

I guess it depends on your definition of 'nutter', he's a passionate club member who is well respected by everyone around the club because of this. Maybe it isn't well received by other teams but having said that I probably wouldn't like the coach of a team who is handing out beltings each week.

As for the goals, I can't comment as I wasn't there - maybe he did kick 5? If not it's probably just a case of a couple of lads leaving the game early and not knowing who to allocate goals to.

North Pines will have to beat Mawson Lakes or rely on TTG/MP losing all their games.

They certainly are coming home like a steam train.

Mitchell Park - 16 Points
TTG
SHOC
Angle vale

TTG - 16 points
Mitchell Park
Angle Vale
SHOC

North Pines - 14 Points
Mawson Lakes
Athelstone
Bye

If everything goes according to ladder order except we lose to TTG, we should still have enough % to be in front of North Pines at the end of the year unless we get absolutely pantsed. Which would mean that game North Pines "lost" earlier in the year would really burn.

Just quietly the Spider boys should be very much hoping for a Lions victory on Saturday.

Taity did have a quieter than average day but I can confirm he did bag five still. The D Grade coach is very passionate, it sometimes gets the better of him. He's aware of and working on this. It was a pretty passionate atmosphere out there on Saturday.

Looked like a very passionate game from what i saw. Mawson Lakes fullback swears Tait only kicked 3, 2 of which were down the field free kicks. Maybe he was wrong?

Full backs ALWAYS know how many have been kicked over their head.

I would back him in.

Passion and Exaggeration go hand in hand. Is this the case? Would be disappointed if this was true. We all know a club that use to be in Div 7 Reserves that gave all their votes to one player to win the medal (will be watching the Div 6 Reserves Medal with interest this year) and I hope SHOC aren’t giving all their goals to one player in Div 7 Reserves so he can kick a ton and win the goal kicking trophy. Now that would be poor.

Getting a bit ahead of ourselves here, we haven't been giving Taity any extra goals this year. In regards to the medal, that is voted on by the umpires.

So what if they gave him a couple of extra goals. He'll kick 100 anyway and will beat that sandbagger from Modbury anyway. What was despicable previously was someone winning the medal for how many years it what was straight when clearly all his team mates could play and should have taken votes off him. He was NOT clearly a better player than them.
