think you are off the mark phantom, IF started the year very well one stage after 8 rounds they were playing BOS for a spot in the 5 and pushed them all the way, up to say 3 weeks ago they had been in most games at 3/4 time. chck out theere score in thee first 12 rounds. they were hurt by a lack of fitness and on field leaders. have a look at there % its not too bad. now in saying all that the last month they have gone backwards, there has been off and on field lack of discipline problems. if they had kept there heads they would be stayn in div6
To get promoted you must play in a GF (Not easy to do). It's easier to get relegated by finishing in the bottom 2,so to stay in Div6 was a good choice,as we all know to play in a GF doesnt come around to often. Would agree with Bulldogs if the Farmers had won a couple of close one's they couldv'e been in the mix! The word is IF.
