IIRC the biggest celebrations by the players were when Mayes kicked his goals, looked to me like the established players were giving him a huge pat on the back.
I was talking about the players. No issue with fans celebrating. But players celebrating in such a manner is odd. They all got around Mayes when he kicked his second and came from all over the ground. The sort of celebration normally saved for a kid's first ever league goal, a player's 10th for the day or 100th for a season or a goal to go in front late in the game. But it was none of those. Then the next one, Armstrong wasn't involved in the play and started jumping in the air pumping his fists on the wing. Very odd.
Interesting people seem to think the comment was stupid, yet nobody is actually disputing what I've said or the conclusion it says something about North. Apart from the idiots who didn't understand and didn't bother to seek clarification. Loved Jimmy's post about being stupid when he probably didn't see any of the game and has that avatar of John Hinge. Thanks for the irony. Lol.
