If you want to go quickly, go alone.

If you want to go far, go together.

Its weekends like this one coming up which reminds me why I no longer play cricket.
If I could be assured every weekend would have 23 degree weather I'd probably play again.
Much rather be down the beach or in the case of this weekend in air conditioned comfort.

One of my friends in is Alice Springs now - they had something like 15 days on a 20 day period where it was over 40, most times over 43.

Apparantley if tomorriw is over 40 (which it seems is 99%) it will be the hottest 3 day periods since about 1943!
I didn't have an airconditioner in a house until I was 21, didn't have a ducted till I moved into my current abode about 8 years ago.
Damn well couldn't live with out them now. Cold beer helps too!

Sorry, but that brings me to the Simpsons episode where Homer spends his entire Saturday drinking beer and eating hot dogs in Maggies' kiddie pool.

Ahh. Good times.

I just ventured outside for the first time since lunch to see if the cool change was here, it has cooled down a lot, and the wind has swung around, but the sky is full of smoke. I had a look on the CFS site, there is a big fire at Mouth Flat on Kangaroo Island near Dudley Conservation Park, heading towards Browns Beach, Baudin Beach, American Beach, Wilson River (probably where the smoke is from) and the Dukes highway is shut near Keith due to a fire in the Ngarkat Conservation Park.
