Yes very good there Banker, the Badgers certainly are a team in form.

Injuries, suspensions & poor initial upgrade choices (J Roo, Selwood, Adcock, Mundy, Chapman) and not jumping on Ablett have certainly cost me. Still plenty of rounds to go though.......badly need Swan and Chapman to return to the form we know they can.......a cheeky Gary Ablett groin strain wouldn't go astray either ;)

ROUND 14
A week of Supercoach where some things finally went right. Those who held on to Sandilands will be kicking themselves, watch your toes though, good news is he does not require any surgery, but he is facing another 4 weeks on the sidelines. Those who had Mzungu on their field in place of Franklin or N.Riewoldt had a heart attack when they heard he was a late withdrawal from the Fremantle game only to then be replaced by an emergency of either Isaac Smith or Ian Callinan, both these rookies done a decent job this week for their coaches.

Close encounters this week saw TEAM_FISH notch up his 3rd win on the trot by only 2 points against THE BLOODS and now the confidence is soaring high down at Ocean Park! Goonies picked up his 2nd win of the season with a 40 point win against Ankles United.

Once again there is no change to the top 4 of total points with Honey Badgers extending his lead at the top to 357 points is now 1,042 points clear of the promotion zone. Toomenny Beers has replaced Trader to sit just outside the top 4 trailing Cossi's Carnts by 286 points.

At the other end of the table we have Ankles United only 333 points away from entering the relegation zone. whufc is becoming a quick contender for relegation as he is only 622 points away from the drop.

Like i say each week, there are not many changes to the table but the gaps keep widening and closing in so we could see some shuffling in the next few weeks, especially with a 3 team bye next week.

Thanks WLF i am going to need it, OUTS include Cox, Sandilands, Adcock and Selwood. But i am holding onto them and upgrading my rookies at the moment that way when these guys come back they are like doing an upgrade trade.

I am looking forward to being injury and suspension free if it ever happens!

Hopefully Baron Greenbacks can keep sliding and I can pick up a 2nd win for the season. Resided to the fact though that I'll be in Div V next year though.

Been an ugly few weeks for my boys too. Sandi is now a problem, do I trade him out for a nobody, play Zac Smith and use the cash to upgrade Puopolo to Fisher? Or do I save the trades?
All but gone for getting promoted out of the pool so it might be time to focus on my other leagues which are all about h2h and not total points.

ROUND 15
OUCH! i had a full report written up and then got called away from my desk for something and came back and it had gone :(

The main comments included Honey Badgers extending his lead at the top of the points table with a huge score of 2,522. His lead is now 666 which is a number he probably wouldnt want to be associated with...

The gap between 4, 5 and 6 has been tightened for total points, Cossi's Carnts needs to lift his game.

Z.Smith has injured his jaw which could cause some problems for coaches in the rucking division, i can see a few trades being made this week...

There are no league games this week with Adelaide, Fremantle and Melbourne all having the bye, so make sure you get those guys on your bench.

1. Honey Badgers 2,522 2,224.20 33,363
2. Has Been 2,213 2,179.80 32,697

ROUND 16
OUCH! is the first word i will use again this week, if you had G Ablett or picked up G Ablett this week then the first word is very relevant, however, if you had him as captain this week then i will use the word 'unlucky'.

The biggest score of the week goes to Toomenny Beers with 2,268, and a timely one at that. Toomenny Beers has shortened the gap between 5th and 4th to just 75 points. Honey Badgers had a disappointing week scoring 1,937 but still remains 430 points clear of second position.

At the other end of the table Goonies and BloodnTars scores of 2,133 and 2,042 respectively, did no harm in assisting their chances of surviving the drop.

ROUND 17
All HOGG leagues were blessed with some massive scores this weekend but none bigger than Honey Badgers effort of 2,671 =D>. Honey Badgers showed why he is at the top of the table by more than 700 points when he smashed out the highest HOGG score ever.

WLF was not far behind with a score of 2,537 which rocketed him into second position and pushed Has Been out of the top 2 for the first time all season.

Cossi's Carnts fronted Toomenny Beers in a fairly crucial game for both sides. Cossi's Carnts ran away with a 118 point victory and stretching the gap between 4th and 5th postion.

The 3rd highest score of the round came from Goonies, who was sitting in the bottom 4. Goonies recorded a nice score of 2,424 to jump both Ankles United and whufc on the ladder and out of the drop zone. Ankles United score of 2,262 ensured he avoided the drop zone for this week and whufc is now in danger of being relegated if he doesnt turn things around.

ROUND 18
Another huge week in Supercoach with the highest scorer of the week posting 2,809 to win the weekley prize. HOGG IV's closest competitor Cossi's Carnts was only 262 points adrift with a score of 2,547.

Next in line was Honey Badgers with a score of 2,522 who continues his good form at the top of the table. Even though it means nothing in the scheme of the promotion and relegation the 2 top scorers of HOGG IV just happened to play each other in the head-to-head matches this week

Now to the serious stuff. The gap between 4th and 5th has increased to 371pts. 6th place Trader tightened the gap for 5th place to just 17pts with his score of 2,486. At this stage of the season (and this week is huge for the promotion race) any of the teams from 2nd to 6th are all in contention. Bear Necessity is in 7th place, 869pts behind 6th place Trader so i wont rule him out just yet. Anything can happen in this game but i think Bear Necessity needs to gain some ground this week or promotion will be very difficult.

At the other end of the table, Wonder Elephants has jumped a spot after scoring 2,260 but for another jump will need to close an almost 1,000pt deficit to whufc, as stated above though anything can happen in this game. whufc is 277pts behind Ankles United and it does appear as though Ankles United is hitting a purple patch of form so will be very hard to catch. Goonies showed his score of 2,424 last week was no fluke with a mammoth 2,512 this week to take the podium for the 3rd highest score of HOGG IV. Goonies is doing himself no harm with his consistent form and if he continues then relegation will be out of the question.

You got lucky Cossi! 8)

Overall is pretty dull now, I guess everyone is starting to think about premierships!

Some big games next week to decide the final positions. 4th spot is wide open!
