Prior to the Foxtel Cup this season, does anyone know when the last time was that a side from South Australia played a side from Western Australia?

Know the Eagles played Claremont in a preseason game in Perth in 95.
Eagles won by 5 goals. We were coming off a GF spot, but were ordinary in 95.

i would think it would be from the wills cup & other night competitions in the 1970's...forgetting any trials etc

Sorry correction needed here - the scores given by 85WAGY are the 1976 scores from when these teams clashed in the NFL Cup.

March 13 1982 Sth Frem 18.16 def Nwd 10.12 at Football Park, whilst Swan Dist 21.14 def Glenelg 15.12 at Subiaco.
Then a few days later Carlton 14.16 def Port Adel 5.6 to ruin SA's last chance of any National Escort Cup success.
