Someone help Me here, how can a side go from the GF in 2009 to what looks like bottom 2 years later? It happened to West too, GF contestant in 2003 to blah blah afterwards.

What's the problem with the facility? It has beer, a good bbq, toilets. Only problem I could see was a couple of dog turds wearing brand new Souf scarfes today ;)

Losing 20 or so players would answer that. Although some weren't league regulars we still needed them for depth.

The players who said get stuffed $turd are responsible. I guess some of the club culture has something to do with it. Playing for The Doubles Blues, or most clubs other than yours doesn't have the same prestige as it once had. Somehow your club has tapped into a method of getting players to bleed red, white and blue. I'm sure some of your players could get more coin in the Barossa or the like but they love playing for your club.
I would love the players at Sturt to have even 50% of the commitment your players show!

clearly they lost players cos they either got drafted 2-3, or theyr did not want to be there for whatever reason, a) can't stand coach who is contracted for another 18 months, b) weren't getting paid on time cos club is broke, c) sick of playing on an urban parkland that is fallling down and has dogsh1t all over it, or d) saw club had no future.

Whatever the reason is, at least Sturt supporters are dillisional enough to take comfort i tha fact they left is a good enough reason to justify why that are no longer taken seriously in the SANFL.

deleted Nowhere near broke.
And speaking of a club with no future and can't be taken seriously, how the hell have you survived with your pitiful, embarrassing lack of success for how long?????? 47 years after you achieve nothing this year, like every other year

Through a bit or resiliance - supporter and management that have toughed it through - plenty of work to go yet, but would much rather be part of a club with our outlook that is on the way up, that be on your crew that is dying and will soon have to either relocate the Mt Barker or die.

Can't we have the obligatory South supporter mentioning dog poo and Sturt being broke as he/they always does/do when they (rarely) win against Sturt ;)

And we'll still win another flag before you do. Bwhahahahaha
Btw, to the rest of the sensible South supporters out there, good win and I really do hope you do well this year and for years to come. Just not a fan of tons of bun and his waffle

Not necessary. We're finally getting some support from the Unley council and we'll hopefully get somewhere with permanent fencing and some other issues. Plus we're making enough money, have over 3000 members this year and are coming up with innovative ways of getting more coin to the club.

Great day.

Really good game to watch. Tight all day but South had the legs and desire to win in the last 1/4. Way to quick for Sturt.

Cockshell fantastic all day. Liddle was outstanding....fearless and picked up plenty of the ball. Stribling, Cross, Thewlis all played well.
Wundke played a blinder with 8 goals......could have got more but did some very unselfish play and set up goals for team mates.
Really like Richman .....local lad who has a big future ahead of him. Some very good contests at the ball.

I was a bit worried when McKerran got injured that Cockshell would have to go into the ruck and lose the CHF position. Bass came in and helped out doing a commendable job.

South are very good at pressuring the opposition for them to turnover the ball. Something I can see this year as a HUGE improvement.

Sturt I thought started real well and thought the worst at the start but to South's credit they came back fighting.

Voice - just to let you know each year South members are given scarves as part of their membership package.....please mate dont have a go at our supporters as new scarves are given to our members each year. (with "Member 2011 on them). Good to see the die hard Sturt faithfull out there at Unley today....... ;)
Is out of change.....thanks Cambridge Clarrie!!!

Don't want to offend good supporters like yourself Southee and I apologise if I did. Just having a crack at a supporter who likes to fling dog poo our way everytime you play us at Unley. He never has much to say about your club and it's direction though unless it's negative.

Well done South on the win. And well done to the other South fans on here who are respectful. You don't deserve to have that lowlife edited as a fan. I feel sorry that u have to include him in your members.

Voice, don't waste ya time mate. We will take our lumps this year and look to 2012. South R on the improve, but they were also on the improve back in 06 et al. I'd love for them to get some success but not for their loser mentality fans like bunton. Really has lost it with his comments in this thread.
