Highly unlikely. It was our first trial game and we fielded a half strength side at best. Far from a premiership hangover. Good hit out. the boys will be better for the run and can expect better efforts over the next couple of weeks. Taking nothing away from the blues they played much better than we did but premierships are not win in march but you would have been thinking they were the way a group of sturt supporters were carrying on. Good luck sturt you will improve I'm not sure by how far though.

Absolutely half strength side. The eags only had half our strength. Monkey off the back.

Well didn't the new Sturt Coach have sturt looking great they play in the centrals style of footy .very impresive .I can not get upset by WWT loss its a trail game after all and Sturt had to perform for their new Coach .
Just a few comments and maybe some questions .
Firstly the younger Grocke is he ok has he damaged his knee badly ? Perhaps CD can tell us he didnt look good going off in the 1st qtr of the seconds on a strecther .
Now what happened to all our ruckmen yesterday Lindsey played the 1st qtr of the seconds and then sat on the bench of the main game in the 1st qtr.He had some big names sitting with him and no moves made until sturt kicked their sixth goal .what happened to the named ruckmen all injured at the same time or were we playing silly buggers .
Rimmington looked good in the twos as did Klun and the two newer indingenous players looked great no 33 and 52 i think some magic there .
What happened to the other recruits that didnt play and the big name players all injured ?

Of the big names mckenzie, collville and inkster were missing. Couldnt pick out any others, probably some afl players down the track. I am sure the eags will improve.

Dabrowski and pedderson from the ruck not major stars but would have been handy.
Sturts seconds maybe in trouble for ruckmen as WWT had no recognised ruckmena after 1/4 time or even before that and ended up winning a game they shouldve lost .
And did anyone know who number 55 was for WWT in the seconds not on the list given out at the game and he kicked a great checkside goal late in the game.

Tassie,

Is it Woodville or West Torrens that have the hangover?

Hmmm, i went to the WWT forum to see some comments from Eagles supporters about yesterday's game, it appears this site is having huge "security" issues with spammers.

It appears this doubles as the Eagles forum, still waiting for ME to give us the U/19s and 17s trial results, couldn't sleep last night wondering what the results were....
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!

I think Sturt won the underage, but I don't know the scores (as there was no scoreboard). Unders were played today.

He is playing in the VFL and not on our list .But he was sitting in the stands with Ken Mcgregor.
If you looked at the two WWT teams on saturday our league team from last year was really split in two .Plus we did have players out like ruckmen and i would point out that big Lindsey played the first quarter in the seconds then he played on and off in the league game.
And Cd do you have any word on C Grocke ?

Why was Skipworth sitting in the stands? I thought Bendigo would have trial games too... good to see Ken McGregor back watching his local club.
