Big games this week thats go either way - Mictham vs Seaton, and Pooraka vs Flinders.

Pooraka could be a chance to get over FP - Coghill back and Derham back as the Magpies have the bye!

Small oval should hold no fears for the ramblers either.

Crucial for us to get over an improving Pembroke side. They still have plenty of quality kicking aorund and we'll have to play bloody well to get the points.

The boys are back finally after many delays and are playing this week.

Perkins stubbed his toe at work and is out for a couple, laslett not sure the injury and McAdam broken hand maybe done for the year. And I heard big Andy Thornton is resting getting himself right for round 17 when they travel to Hawk park......

Perkins was having the week off anyway i think due to holiday. Laslett overseas. McAdam not a big out at all (except for his size since not being able to run a lap ;) ) Not sure about Thornton. Got plenty to fill the gaps. We have greater depth than other years plus some of ther guys being able to play various positions to cover those of an out.

Ha, yeah, just had a look; Must be last weeks team. Which is weird - we've always named our sides as we've been picked this year!

The real story this week is the return of Superstar Brad Finney. I imagine the crowd will flock in their Thousands for the comeback of the great man.

I think he's a saint micks boy. He's been training with the crows keeping himself fit so I've been told. I would think they would qualify him for finals. Maybe he's after a new job cos he has failed at the crows this year.

Not sure who Derham is but if he played SANFL (League, Reserves or Under 18's) last week and that club has the bye the following week you can't go back to your Amateur club and play - it can only happen if he didn't play anywhere the week proceeding the bye (i.e through injury) - Pooraka might want to check the rules out before 2:15pm Saturday!

Don't think I actually blamed the crows on him. What I meant was he is the midfield coach for the crows and this year that have been smashed at the contested footy. So he has failed this year as an assistant coach.

are you sure this is the rule, for as long as i can remember it was up to the league club the player is playing for, ie if the magpies allow him to play for pooraka there is no dramas, he played for poorakas u/18 last sunday after playing 18s at port the previous day

Section 16 of the Rules and Regs - not sure about playing for both in the one weekend but if the Magpies have the bye and he wants to play for Pooraka he needs a permit. There is free interchange between the SANFL and SAAFL on normal weeks it just gets complicated where there is a bye - not sure on what basis Pooraka would have been granted a permit. I made a similar enquiry earlier in the year and was told a straight out "no"

Thats interesting, i know there have been clubs that have played Magpies players on the week of the bye (after playing the week before). Can someone get a definate ruling on it.

well after yesterday it seems we (para hills) are headed to div 4 next year short of a miracle we have a very tough run to the end of season including seaton, flinders park, smosh and pooraka hard to see a win there and golden grove have 2 very winable games in pembroke and cboc i heard they (golden grove) pushed portland all day and lost it in the last qtr great effort if correct.

Have to say the new chairman assured he would head us in the upward direction even mentioning div 2 ? hows that working for him ?
when leaving the game yesterday a long time player/now supporter said to me "maybe its a true indication of where the club is at now" i hope not but hard to argue with.
