Biggest brain-fades.

Biggest brain-fades.

In light of another dig at Gowans for belting Schubert, it would be interesting to discuss the biggest brain fades that people can remember. Robbie Muir jumping the fence always springs to my mind.

Ahhh...Tony Liberatore's biggest celebration for a behind in history? ;)

Leigh Matthews on Neville Bruns would be right up there. He has always said the first thing he thought after he did it was "What on earth did I do that for?", just before he heard the charge of running feet everywhere.

Operation Barbarossa June 1941.

Hitler opening a second front and taking on the Soviets. Even though the Western front was "dead" French Vichey Govt Dunkirk etc, Britain was still undefeated and the Yanks were making noises. This is especially so given that his Afrika Corp was inviolved in a campaign against Montgomery so he ahdn't put the British "problem" to bed

To spread his resources over two fronts was the beginning of the end, massive roll of the dice that came up empty.
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!

In recent SANFL history, one of the Gowans losing it with one of his teammates and the crowd at Richmond.

Jeffries from North losing it and shoving the (minding his own business) West Adelaide doctor in the race at Richmond.

The prize, however, goes to Patrick Wiggins for his walkout through the crowd at Propsect :D

Darn, beat me to it, R&B :D . Remains one of the funniest, most surreal moments I've ever seen in football. Finished it with a flourish by roaring out of the ground in his car ten minutes later. Still without a top, as he had torn off his jumper before striding through the crowd.

The Jeffries one reminds me somewhat of one of your boys in 2006, Ben Haynes, mistaking an innocent media member for a doctor at a huddle and then snarling at them, after apparently both that someone and the doctor could have been twins ;)

To be fair, I believe that Hitler had an "understanding" with Tojo that Japan would attack Russia from the east, thus forcing Russia into a war on two fronts. As it happened the Japs went for Pearl Harbor instead, sucking the yanks into the war.

Hitler's greatest brain-fade occurred on 24 May 1940 when he ordered his panzers to stop advancing to the coast, thereby allowing 1/3 million British troops to escape across the channel. Western Europe - including Great Britian - could have been decisively conquered there and then.
