Some very impressive stuff by those involved  I'm surprised people who would do such a thing are able to use a computer, let alone create a facebook page!

My understanding is that he misses the rest of this, whether they play 1 final or make it to the gf he misses rest of this year then he's right for next yr

Seems a bit weird if that is the case. Surely a set number of weeks would be the norm, but then again all has changed in the world of the tribunal.

just shocking how you can play a brand of footy that almost consists of nothing to do with footy (ressies).
i received a taste of what they are about, and its not it the spirit of the game.
i don't want to disrespect another club, but from what i hear every other club feels the same??

anyway i hope they head in the right direction an get with the program on standards... expecially after nearly bringing down an entire league.

I've played against Salisbury West and played for Jervois a few years ago and the teams were nothing alike. Now things may have changed since, but I would be very disappointed to learn that they have stooped that low!

it only takes a few players and incidents to bring a club down and also drop the standard an thats where its at in my eyes and expirienced

Yes and no, Ladhams was the one with lawyer connections which helped them.

I know Bluch well enough to know he wont bother. He's a pretty good bloke but has a massive white line fever.

Ladhams was all about looking after himself, where toddy will just be disappointed he cant play finals this year.

There is white line fever then there is belting blokes behind play. Two different things in my mind.

Howd Weetra go? Have any influence?

Ramblers show alot of grit today again and got up by 4 or 5 goal so judging by those two results, Imps and Ramblers are still the teams to beat. Both teams undermanned and still finding ways to win

I think you will find that Imps put basically their best side on the park today. Very unlikely that either Hodge or Harrowfield will play again this year. Not sure how anybody could ride off Mannum at the moment. They had a slow start to the year but seem to be getting it all together. As much as it hurts I really think we will see another Ramblers VS Mannum Grand Final.

Hodge will not play again in 2011
Harrowfield will be back before finals
Simon Tyler will be back before finals
Daniel Girdham is running at 50% spent whole 4thqtr off be ready and firing for finals no serious worries
Jamie Honner first game back from hamstring injury, will get back into some form soon

So with a list like that not at 100% well I think imps will be a real Powerhouse come finals.
Tyson Wait is in career best form
Adam Davey is in best form of the season
Matt Kowald is back up and firing after knee reco last season

People speak of ramblers dominant forward line when imps with a full squad reads like this-
Matt Seyers
Justin Trewen
Jordan Hollitt
Luke Harrowfield
Matt Kowald
Simon Tyler

Then players like this spread out over the field
Ash Temby
Tyson Wait
Boyd Kenny
Ryan Eyre
Adam Davey
Ben Quast

I think imps has one of the most powerful lists in RMFL for many years and alot of mid 20yr old players who will stick around for a long time

I think its pretty difficult to split Imps, Ramblers and Mannum as far as who will win the flag. Mannum probably have as good a forward line - Kennedy, Gerardis, Waterhouse - as the 2 MB clubs. All 3 clubs probably are pretty equal as far as goalscoring is concerned.

Who wins the flag is probably likely to be determined by injuries to key players towards the latter part of the season. It could also come down to something as random as which club is suited best to playing on Meningie Oval, the venue for the grand final.

Mannum have gone under the radar a little bit this year, so there may not be as much external expectation on them this year. I do think they will have a lot of internal expectation though as they've lost a heap of grand finals over the years, including the last 2. I've heard they may not be able to keep up the big spending for much more than a year or 2 more, so they will definitely want to win a flag during this current era, because in a year or 2 they may come back to the field a little.

Mypo are a bit of a wildcard, however I don't think they quite have the quality of the other 3 clubs. I can't see them getting through and winning a premiership from the Elimination Final, although if they caused 1 or 2 upsets in the upcoming finals series it wouldn't totally surprise. I do think though that the Tigers are a good chance to replace Mannum as the leading non MB club in a year or 2. Mypo have an impressive squad, and have recruited very well this year. If they hang onto their 4 or 5 imports beyond this year, I think they're definitely a chance of challenging for a flag in a couple years time.

I was really impressed with Mypo's effort on Saturday! Not since Mypo's GF side have they showed that sort of fight.

We were again down on our best side, but managed to find a way to win. The blokes are playing some really solid football at the moment, nothing too flashy. Our Experienced guys really stood up when it counted, which was very good to see, & Joel Kay seems to be finding his feet again.

I spoke to Crossy on Saturday & he seems to think they are a Genuine chance. He mentioned that they also have been playing with a limited list, & that Scott Mena's & Simon Norris have both not played since round 2 & a couple of their recruits didn't play on the weekend, so to do what they have been doing without those guys shows they are around the mark. & I agree GWW, they will be contenders for a few years looking ahead too.
