I mentioned before that I thought the Eagles problem was that Godden pumped them up too early and just expecting it to happen.Looks like he has realised that himself.
"I thought the second year up , not that it was just going to happen,but we were going to start from a much higher point.Thefact that we played well in the finals is a hindrance because I think what's happening is the playinng group is thinking "we'll get there and we'll be able to turn it on"

He has the group believing they are better than they are . Yes they were good against Norwood but Sturt were terrible in the Elim and Glenelg choked again. Both those sides were better than Eagles but just not on the day.
