Good wins by the Devils on Sat night. Super B's looked VERY different from previous years wuth the average age of the side being about 14 years and 2 days!!!!

Very young team with a lot of juniors from last year (and a couple from previous years returning). Good signs for the long term future of the Dev's.

Solid win from the A grade. Plenty of tough tackling and pressure took Jervois apart. They really struggled and had no pace whatsoever.

Man our ruckman is a monster!

200 Pages up - solid work boys!

On the debate about the difference in leagues, I'm going to be the first to say I TOLD YOU SO!!!!!!!!!!!!!

There would be egg on the face a plenty this morning!

Seriously, the Devils THUMPED Jervois. All HFL Central sides would have beaten that team IMO.

And on the Ironbank result, I think that can put the Central v Country debate to rest. When bottom central beats top Country easily, there's nothing more to debate.

I await the "but we weren't at full strength" arguments. I will be         at any such retorts!

Word has it two recruits by the name of O'Gorman and Woite (not sure if spelt right) were on the gas sunday night at Henley Beach and had the suit cases slapped out of em by one bloke before secruity could save em, all started over young O'Gorman mouthing off - as usual I hear.
Can either play the game ??

What does this have to do with their footballing ability? Yes both boys can play the game very well.

I was asking about there ability! They were letting all in ear shot know that they were good, I wanted to hear from others opinion.

Nah all reports say it wasnt bad, just OGorman mouthing off and his mates backing him in then one bloke stitched them all up and they got booted from the fine establishment.

Get your facts straight FM cos that's a load of garbage.

Interesting to see the scoreline of the ironbank encounter. I think that its still very early to tell. Ironbank have improved on last year by the quality of players around the place, so therefore, the gap between country and central may not be huge.

But I agree with DA that country sides would battle against lower central sides as central teams have too much depth.

Where did Muffy play?? On the ball no doubt
How good is footy!

Where was the Lofty v Jervois game?

Has Devil Park upgraded their home locker room to to make more room this year for their array of facial products?
I hear one particular glory boy left interstate for the West so at least there will be a little less blonde in the HFL this year. However, problem children like Trzeniscki, Waite and the Advocate will still keep Loreal and Clinique in business! Oh, wait.....the Advocate would need more than some cream to fix his ugly mug :D.

Been a while.

Devils v Jervois played at pretty boy park.

I prefer 'Oil of Bilo' for my complexion. I'm shattered they are out of business - 'Oil of Coles' is too expensive for me.

Just to throw out a question to all on the forum.........Who is flag faves at this early stage and who is shortest odds for smack on the arse with the wooden spoon?

And DA, I don't want to hear your response you chalk foot

Mt lofty would have to be favourites at this stage to win the flag again havent lost too much and gained a few good players, also i heard onkas have big numbers out at there trainings so they would have to be a big contender again this year

for the wooden spoon i reckon mt barker are gonna slip even further down the ladder this season, and although bridgewater have got a couple of new recruits i would say they are gonna be down the wrong end of the ladder again.

Are we disregarding Birdwood here? They'd be certain of the spoon.

But the competition looks to be far more even this year, however Lofty will surely be the team to beat.

33 day's to go!! :D

Are you suggesting that the up and coming roosters are going to turn a few heads this year and claim a couple wins? Or have you just forgotten them as true wooden spoon contenders? The safe money is pointing towards birdwood, personally as a non biased footy lover i'd like to see them roll a couple of teams!

I'd have to go with the consensus here and say........Birdwood, get to the back of the bus.

It is still a big step from Country into Central. Even if they snag a game or 2, others like Bridgy and the Bankers will do the same, plus will get the job done against the Roosters. Odds are on I think for a Red and White team on the top, and a red and white team on the bottom. Lofty and the Chooks, I'll let you work out which will be where.

Also, who are the big new recruits running around this year in HFL? I'm too lazy to go back and check the previous threads.
