Interesting comments by Francou in the 'Tiser re the Walker tackle. He has said he didn't think there was anything in it and that Walker should not get suspended. Maybe those sorts of thoughts should be taken into account when the Tribunal makes it assessment?

No surprise to see Alleway reported. I would think 1 game after all this is his 3rd report of the season although to be fair both the previous one's were a joke.

I wonder if he will raise the provocation defence considering what happened to him just prior to him "going off" which goes someway to explain his punch although he probably should have kept his cool.

Given 3 but can accept 1 for good behaviour record.
Norwood and Crows can appeal.
Now Francou has to front tribunal for speaking out about Walkers tackle. What a joke

Wasn't he reported for punching Shenton? If The Panther did something untoward to Big Clint it'd be a shock to most legs supporters.

I'm still getting over Terlo turning to Alleway after he jobbed Shenton and throwing a few of his own. What next? JD gets eight weeks for ironing out Sutherland.

Can someone explain how Walker's offence is graded as 'high contact' when he tackled the player around the waist?

If the Crows appeal this decision, won't they run the risk of looking like hypocrites? After all, it was their medical report that resulted in Trengove getting 3 matches.

If the Crows did appeal, and Walker was found not guilty, would Francou have a case to answer? And how close was Collins to getting reported after the Glenelg game?

Not a fan of players getting reported for sling tackles, but there isn't any need for it, other than inflicting harm on your opponent.

Rubbish decision, wont be long until most decisions are based upon medical reports just like the AFL.

The game of football has been played for 100 years without a 'sling' tackle issue, now all a sudden its almost the worse thing you can do on a football field.

Walker currently 1-1 at the tribunal with imho both decision going the wrong way.

This is what I don't understand. Delvins "may" have been a little dazed, but got up and took his kick, and played out the rest of the game (he's a tough little bastard ;) ). In the AFL, players haven't been sighted if the player was uninjured in a sling tackle. Anyone else confused?

You might have to have a look at the footage again TSG. At no point did Delvins head hit the ground.

As I said on my own clubs Forum .. Whether a player is injured or not shouldn't decide whether the trangressor gets games or not.

The sling tackle does have the potential to cause injury at the nastiest end of the scale, and I don't have a problem with it being stamped out .. In this instance whilst Delvins might not have been hurt, it's probably only favourable luck that decided that.

I think the fact Walks looked straight at the ump meant he might have realised he was a little heavy handed with the tackle .. With Jericho going down he would have been very handy this week, so we take the 1 week and life goes on.

First time since Saturday I've looked at that footage, and I think you may be right. Although the footage isn't 100% conclusive from the 1 angle.

The week actually helps us. The crows will make him have another game with us after he resumes so he should line up at Noarlunga in a fortnight.

In the first qtr, around the 18min mark. A player ducks his head while lying on the ground. Anyone else notice it? Surely mal did. Or hasn't he completed his in depth review of the TV game yet?

Didnt look like his head hit the ground and one would think with the verocity of the tackle if his head hit the ground it was lights out
