And North had twenty better players than Gallman.

No they didn't actually. Gallman did his job. Couple of others didn't. Serious question topsy, do Norwood players rarely receive a tag?

3 observations on this game from someone who only watched it on TV:
the oval was a disgrace,
according to the tv stats there were over 60 frees paid (about one every 90 secs?!) which seems blatant over-umpiring and
the irony of Taylor Walker being reported for a (sling) tackle when he can't get a Crows game because he doesn't tackle!

Not very well he didn't.

Enjoyed watching the delight Norwood players had in smashing Gallman at every opportunity, it shows a harder edge we didn't have during the time we were coached by that ex North player.

Yes, Bass has toughened up the Norwood side, too bad there isn't much he can do about it's supporters.

I was really, really impressed with young Will Dalwood for Norwood today.

A third generation to play League footy for the Legs, I have mainly see him play ruck in the 2's but he looked really good in defence today and kicked that nice goal.

Has a really promising future I reckon, he shows good skills for a big fella.

I used to be with it, but then they changed what "it" was. Now, what I'm with isn't it, and what's "it" seems weird and scary to me.

Regarding the umpiring standard in the SANFL this year, I have a feeling that things have changed in the way umpires are being told to adjudicate. Supposedly, because there used to be a rules gap between SANFL and AFL (ie different rules and different interpretations), this was impacting on the ability of SANFL umpires promoted (or not so) to the AFL. Nowadays I think the AFL wants to ensure that the SANFL is truly a feeder league for its umpires as well as players. Hence, why we are all so frustrated.

The Legs won after the bye, which IIRC is a pretty rare feat this season. Fortunately, it's the second time for us this year. I always hate playing teams further down the ladder on days like today as the weather is such an evener of two teams. I'd rather play against a top side in those conditions as even if you lose, you're unlikely to be trounced. The weather certainly negated the opportunity for Walker to have a big scoring influence on the game, which in the absence of Cunningham and having faced Norwood twice with Walker this year, the Cocks would have appreciated.

North can take some heart from the result (esp without Allan) and maybe if Alleway hadn't snapped earlier in the last quarter, they could have had a better result.

Anyone know the final reserves score and final u/18s score today?

Well said Squawk. I don't think we would have won even without the undisciplined effort of Alleyway. The Legs always had the game under control.

walker's report should get thrown out. SANFL bit more lenient than AFL. does the SANFL have carry over points like the AFL?.
but if i was a Norwood Supporter i would want him to get a game, because if he doesent he will play for the crows next week. but if he does he will come back through the SANFL in a couple of weeks

Walker wont play for Crows next week, looked proppy and at times very slow. Lacking a fair bit of match fitness and I cant see him going straight back in

Walker's report was a frigging joke, didn't even warrant a free kick IMHO.
