I whinged about the umpiring from an SANFL fans point of view. I didn’t come in here and say ‘Norwood got destroyed by the umps, they gave North 10 goals, they didn’t give us anything’ ect, ect, did I? I said they were a disgrace, as they were, for BOTH sides. Totally incompetent, totally inept, they guess, they panic, and they seemingly make up new rules.

But hey, wanna have a crack at me for anything else??

Half Time

N'wd - 10.7 = 67

North - 2.1 = 13


Yet another all in brawl, this time just on the half time siren. That is a brawl in each of the Reserves, League and now Under 18's game !!!

Because the umpires were trying to break up the fight, they forgot to blow their whistle to acknowledge the half time interval so the time keeper had to keep his finger on the button, meaning the siren sounded constantly for a good couple of minutes until the ump realised and blew time off !!


I'm heading now so someone else will have to post the full time scores.

Geez I had a fun day, 95% of the supporters at Coopers Corner were fantastic, beer was awesome, the Basset burger was the best burger I've had in a long time and my bottom side only lost to 14 points to last year's Grand Finalist on their own oval which was the worst I'd seen for at least a decade despite missing our best player.
God I love Norwood Oval, the best BBQ, the best beer and the most amount of bars and the only ground I feel has a real sense of tradition these days.
Good luck in the finals Norwood, on to more important things tonight, the Super 15s Grand Final, Go Reds!

PS Great to have Centurion there today who wanted to cheer for his 2nd side Norwood but ended up upsetting more Norwood supporters with his wit, reparte and jokes!

Hey NFC - Norwood actually recd more free kicks than us !. You won , well done but we did pretty well i reckon and alot better than most would have thought going into the game especially after last weeks effort. Good signs for us going forward as we are playing attacking footy all without the best player in the comp playing today. Norwood i thought were Ok but I still have the dogs as Premiership favourites at the minute. They would have beat us by 10 goals today.
