Drinking Pure Blonde at the moment.

Bluetounge Lager, Best Aussie Beer IMHO, fairly expensive and hard to find though. :(

Nothing beats Pale Ales although I do like Asian beers and Carlsburgs for something different.
Finding it harder and harder to handle Lion Nathan beer every year at the footy but am struggling by on Tooheys News.
Myself and the missus were just saying tonight its lucky Im not a Norwood supporter otherwise I'd be a mess on Pales on tap most weeks.

I never did see the point to Coronas. If you need to jam a lemon down the neck of a bottle to give a beer flavour, you'd be better off drinking lemonade.

Agree totally Pseudo.

How can a beer be good if you gotta put something in it? Beer should be good as is.

Now I'm going to totally contradict myself here and say a good old snakebite is gold when you've had a gut full of beer.

Snakebites get you bloody loose though!

If you have to put fruit in it, it's crap
If you don't fart and burp within five minutes it's American watered down crap
If it costs over 5 bucks a stubbie then you are a pretentious git who doesn't understand what it says on the label
Get the cheapest, nastiest, coldest shit into you as fast as you can during a happy hour and leave all of the taste snobbery to wine wankers.

No mate, beers vary in quality and style just as wines do. Whiskies vary a lot too. Of course if your primary purpose is just getting drunk it doesn't matter what it tastes like, you can always disguise the flavour with lolly water. Me? I'm a quality not quantity man.

I agree though that there is a lot of pretentious crap goes on in some circles. I buy wines I like, not the ones the "experts" say are good, although sometimes they get it right. Clothing is similar - I don't go for the obviously labelled, but I do wear Rockport shoes because they really are that much more comfortable than most.

Lemon and beer - why not stick a bloody umbrella in it too

Cannot name just one beer as the best, apart from the obvious - the next one!

But three beers well worth the effort to get are
Tooheys Pils
Bullocks Pilsner (Snowy Mountain Brewery)
Desert Premuim Lager (Mildura Brewery)
