First time I saw him was yesterday. Seemed to get his fair share of the footy, but was a bit fumbly.

Green has a crack, there's no doubt about that.
With a bit more gametime under the belt he'll come good I reckon.

"Merrett denies betting plunge links":

HIS days as a Brisbane Lions forward appear over but Daniel Merrett says it has nothing to do with being the subject of yet another AFL betting plunge.

The AFL is investigating after Merrett was backed from $101 to $15 to kick the first goal ahead of his surprise switch from fullback to the forward line in the Lions’ eventual eight-point loss to arch rivals Gold Coast in round seven in early May.

It is the second time in three seasons Merrett has been the subject of such an unusual plunge.

Punters netted $36,000 in 2009 when defender Merrett kicked the opening goal in a match against Collingwood.

I can't see Michael Voss getting a new contract after that drubbing from the Sydney Swans.

Great comment was sent in via twitter to AFL 360 after Brisbanes first win this season.Michael Voss couldnt train Black Caviar to win a race unless Johnathon Brown was the strapper.

Seriously two things:

1. How can you over pay THAT list?

2. How, In this day and age, can you breach the salary cap (and expect to get away with it)?
