Some interesting thoughts on that topic about Nunan and to a fair degree I support some of the comments about Nunan's aloofness and arrogance however he was a pretty successful coach for North but it was his personality "flaws" that perhaps cost North at least 1 or 2 more premierships during his reign at Prospect?

I always found Nunan a very nice guy (and interesting) to talk to.
He helped out many of the old people in the retirement units across the road from his back yard all the time including my Grandma. And her sisters.
Mick Nunan, Stephen Kerley and the fact my old man briefly had a job at North were the reasons I became a North supporter!

PS I'm definitely not smaller than him too!

Agreed, Fraser Evans will be missed, he had impressed me in the 4 or 5 games I have seen of his this year.

Where is Jeremy Johncock at with the Sturt FC, is he really out injured ir is he out of favour and looking at moving on?

Are Sturt fans surprised to see John Hinge dropped?

Not surprised by Hinge being dropped Phil but it should have honestly been done LAST YEAR at times. His formhas been OK but you do have to feel a bit for him as the coach just doesn't settle him. Most ofhis best footy with Sturt has been at half back and once again that took a long time to work out . He is criticised for not manning upon his player but if you watch closely he is protecting space so that would be the coaches instructions.

Johncock was dropped but then got injured and when he was playing he too was unsettled as he would often change with Evans at CHF off the bench !

Not sure why you would say looking to move on though ?

Because there have / had been some whispers doing the rounds that he (Johncock) wasn't happy about being dropped and was looking at perhaps going back to one of the former country clubs he played for.

Hadn't heard that one . If true though I wonder if he falls into the same boat as a number that left last year ?

I don't think that one is true Phil though.

I think his cousin (Childs?) who played at Sturt for a couple of seasons, I think, is up at Willaston and I could be wrong, but Jeremy might have played at the Donnybrooks in between and/or around his stints at North and Port.

Could be just a rumour of course HP, time will tell when he is ready to return from injury as to where he plays. I think he is a good player at with Evans out now, maybe that spot is up for grabs again when he's fit?

I meant country club (in Willaston - but I could be wrong?).

Am I right in saying he has played reserves at both North and Port though?

There has been some talk of him being linked to a club in the Barossa, I read it on the country section on this site. I don't know how many country clubs he's played for, I stand corrected, but my impression was he's ex Mallee Park, and has only played in the SANFL since moving to Adelaide. I have a feeling he may have tried out with Port (possibly North too, although I"m not sure there), although not certain.

I could be wrong, but I think there is a connection to Willaston from both the relative playing up there and for some reason, I think he may have played a few games there in between Port and North, or the other way round? Not 100% sure.
