What a load of absolute BS! To suggest that we would bring in a player who hasnt even trained once this year to get a bit of pay back is an absolute joke. That is definately not what RFC is about in any way mate. >edited<

What has this got to do with pete Dalwood? Yeah sure not everyone agrees with everything pete says, he's good for the game and this league wouldn't be half the league it Is with out him!!! So not real sure what you are getting at hamish

Dont blame Dalwood ,Blame the President Mick Ohara he is the head of the RMFL . He can talk the talk but cant walk the walk .

I think footyislife you last comment was a bit tough. Cannot see how anyone here can blame the RMFL committee for this outcome. If it went to court and the RMFL lost the case through a heap of lies that can be said in court, the RMFL could have been up for a fair bit of money they don't have. It would have been all the 7 seven clubs in the league that would have had to pay the bills. Surely the current president has a lot more football knowledge then old president. At the end of the day I think the result on Sat was a good one for the rest of the comp. I think if any one has an issue with this then all you can hope for is Jervois don't make finals and then they are the REAL BIG LOSERS.

Hopefully the Jervois football club will pull up the slack when some of these volunteers quit:

Completely agree with you Happy, the RMFL did what they did to save the league a court case like this could have crippled us. It country football you do the crime you do the time, not get a hot shot lawyer to fight it for you. RMFL made the right decision for the rest of the seven clubs, perhaps Jervois is all out of RMFL favours!!! :Hangman:

The precedent this has set is a scary 1 $-) If any league is not financial enough to fight things in court, many players will get off in the future with the threat of legal action. UGLY. The SANFL should have stepped in & Backed one of its feeder leagues.

Good game at Jervois yesterday was very handy to see Matt Seyers back took a while to get back into it but was very handy in the second half. Neither I nor anyone else at the game noticed Squire not sure what his pay check it bus definitely should have handed it back yesterday, Hardly had a possession I think.

Saw Seyers play as well. Could be a real asset if his body holds up. He has played little footy for 2 years but is a class act when right. Imps look a little thin at the bottom end which will make him even more important. At the other end Jervois are under the pump big time. Going to take something special just to make the 5 and they could easily finish bottom. Would not be a good result given the recruiting they have done. Will be interesting to see if they outlay similar money next year given the final outcome.

Yeah, I noticed a Clearance was put in on 30/6 which was rejected and another one is now pending.

Also noticed he played Reserves for the Magpies on the weekend.

Will be interesting to see if he is Cleared.

Was thinking the same thing. There is going to be some high quality players in Tailems B grade if he does play.

.

I'm guessing he'd only be 3 points as he's mainly played SANFL Reserves this season, but nonetheless I agree they'd have to juggle their players to fit him in.
