Having to actually come back from Kangaroo Island again after being there the last two days.

One of those rare places on earth where I always feel totally and completely relaxed, happy and where I really want to be. Have lost count a while ago of how many times I've been there now, but just adore it. Was a work trip, but still got to see plenty of the Island through driving from place to place.

Boo :(
Can you guess where I'm calling from, the Las Vegas Hilton...

Somehow Mrs Tipper decided to "fiddle" with the monitor cable going to the back of the pc today. The monitor had put itself to sleep when she left it for a while. But she decided it must be because the cable came loose  of course she pulls it all the way out, and then somehow it won't go back in. So she forces it....
I get a call at work, somehow I am supposed to fix it over the phone. Of course I get home to find the pins on the plug look more they belong on a pretzel. So now no pc till pay day. So happy with that

Stress...

I mentioned in another thread that I had got an interview for a job which I was excited about. Mrs Jase was also going for the permanent position that was replacing the contract that she was doing there. The role I was interviewed for was a large cut in pay from the one I'm currently doing, but there would be no oncall, better hours, better leave entitlements etc.

However Mrs Jase didn't get the permanent position (which is another "thing that gives you the sh1ts" story all together) so her contract is ending and she is just going to have to do relief work (not definite money), so I'm not sure what to do if I am offered the job.... Stressing out majorly...

I might not even be offered the job (should find out today either way) so no big deal, but the last couple of days have really hurt me, can't sleep, feel sick constantly...

Just don't know what to do...Kind of hoping they don't offer me the job

:(

Sometimes you've just got to leave things in the lap of the gods and think all things happen for a reason Jase and go with it.
Well done and good luck.

I agree with A Mum, sometimes you just have to roll the dice. I was in a similar situation to you about 5 years back, made the tough call to move sideways to another organisation with a significant paycut and it's ended up being 2 steps back, 10 steps forward! :D

As they say Jase, "fortune favours the brave". Good luck!
