Mate, that Ingle Farm spectator happened to be the players father.... the IF spectator was outnumbered by the TRINITY spectators and was on the ground getting laid into.... RIGHTLY so the IF player went over and hit that TRINITY spectator.... All day long Ingle Farm were hard done by the umpires (wouldn't have made a difference in the result mind you) but none of this incident and the other scuffle would not have happened if the umpires had the game under control.....

Oh ok so if you are getting treated badly by the umps go and belt a spectator! Fair dinkum mate that about it!

Pretty sure you would do the same thing if your dad was involved and was outnumbered..... weak by trinity spectators.

Ah, so the umpires are somehow to blame for grown adults to lose their cool and start scuffling over what is a game...Sorry but that's a large piece of blame shifting.
always forgive your enemies...nothing annoys them so much

No mate, i wouldn't expect my dad to put himself in that position in the first place. I'm sure he didn't just get hit for no reason.

Your probably right he probably didn't get hit for no reason, but no way in hell would the IF player just let his dad get belted and what not! You expect him to just keep playing the game like nothings going on?

Footys only a game mate, im sure he will have no regrets there..... but if they do give him a life ban for this, what an absolute disgrace that would be!

Surely their would have been some IF spectators there to help out. Is it true IF had 3 yellows and 2 reds yesterday.

all i am going to say on this until i get some facts is that ingle farm have tried hard to move fwd appointed a very experience coach to help them do this BUT if things dont change with the players and spectators what is the f**** point. To often the club is let down by idiotic incidents that have no place in sport. Ive been around this place for a long time and am now starting to wonder why i have my son play jnr footy there, glad i didnt take him to the game to witness rubbish.

Footy clubs and players wake up to yourselves the next generation is watching teach them right from wrong.

Ill post more as i know more.

No one was laying into the IF supporter. I saw the whole incident from a couple of meters away. It all started because he was mouthing off and our spectator told him to shut up and watch the footy, certainly not something that would make you want to fight a bloke. But thats what happened and people from BOTH sides were trying to break up the fight. Dont try to make it sound as though Trinity supporters just mobbed the guy as that is as far from the truth as you can get. Our spectator was hit after the 2 men had been separated as well so his son wasn't acting the hero like you paint him out to be.

Im glad someone from IF is decent enough to say they are embarrassed by what happened, instead of trying to justify hitting someone, game or not that is unacceptable in any situation

It was 1 red and 1 yellow im pretty sure (these were handed out after the incident) the game was going fine up until that point.

I would normally say that the players generally make more mistakes than the umpires in a game of football but ...

thank god something else happened in this division on saturday(lol) it takes the attention away from how pathetic united were after half time, well played glenunga !!
but seriously the situation at the other game can neaver be blamed on umpires , it 's the wankers on the sidelines (all clubs have them ) that make these incidents .

I think Ingle Farm have a fantastic setup with the jnrs and a hard working committee who all seem to be pulling in the same direction, i would never doubt my kid playing there, the seniors on the other hand obviously still need plenty of work :?

No doubt the juniors have a great set up with many people who work very hard, have no trouble with my kid playn for the farmers, but when he wants to go watch the Seniors what do you say to him, nah lets go watch some other team who actually play footy.

A's or B's, there was a few scuffles in the a's but i didnt see or hear anything about how they started. if its true i really hope it wasnt a clg player thats definately not what we're about as a club.
