Fantastic to wake up on a Sunday morning with a win in the memory. North were great, finally we played the game as instructed for almost the entire game. 15 min in the last were very disappointing with the opportunity to humiliate the Bays slipping away. Reckon Miles was good in ruck and gave Sugar good back up in his 50th league game, but it really was the Jimmy and Johnny Show. Great day at Prossie and am confident things are going in the right direction down at Rooster Park. Go you Cocks

Having said all that Glenelg were pathetic, would be really interested to see who was in their "best players"

Hitchcock was probably their best. Funny that during the week it was mentioned a few times that one of the reasons the bays are struggling is because of AFL listed players in the team.

Anyone at the presentation after the game. The wife insisted on picking me up just as the boys were coming down to the club rooms. What did Josh have to say and best players?

So the Bays are getting pumped because they're letting opposition defenders float forwards? WTF?

As much as we bag Chad (gave him a few sprays yesterday) you have to admire his passion for the Bays jumper and a lot of us are continually bemused as to how he cannot get a game at AFL level - if he is not better than near half the Power side at present then I know nothing about Football. I can't see too many other Power players who are anywhere near as versatile as Chad. How he or Motlop cannot get a game ahead of the likes of that "muppet" Andrew Moore is bewildering to say the least.

Read a lot of comments about Hitchcock from the bay fans but he had a pretty decent game yesterday and kicked blinder of a goal from the scoreboard pocket. Can't say I noticed Salopek much but looking at his stats and speaking to few he had a decent day out too? Probably lucky the Bays had Chad, Hitchcock and Salopek otherwise it may have been worse?

On North - we fielded our best side for the year re size and versatility and from early in the game Massie struggled to match up on our 4 key fwds and that went along way to winning the game along with having the experience of Handby and Backwell to back up Allan, Delvins and Bennett in the middle. Also having the luxury of tall defensive options with Alleway, Keller and McIntyre in the line-up allowed Miles (who has been our best key defender) to have a run as second ruck.

Disappointing we let a 57 point lead 9 minutes into the last slip but up until then we were super impressive. Means nothing however if we don't back it up and beat Sturt next Sunday.

PS - Dutchy, if you think Alleway is a thug you should try watching T. Grima for a couple of quarters? Doesn't dare to front a big bloke but hands out dirty little sniping punches, knees in the pack to the little blokes in the pack and whinges to the umpires all day. He is a coward.

north way too good, they wanted it more & were prepared to run & work for it, at one stage thiele was standing in the centre & not one player was within 30-40 metres of him, james allan another 3 votes, his gut running is second to none, bays did have an effort unlike last week but purely we were outclassed in all aspects of the game including accuracy in front of goal, what a battle looming for the final 5 with north, south & port all deserving (atm) to get in there, perhaps if west fallover as well they all might get there as for us well while doubtful we could challenge sturt for the spoon

After my grossly unedumacated comments pre-match regarding the BBQ at Prospect and the volunteers that staff it I am now man enough to admit ... I was wrong!

I ventured to the BBQ at half-time thinking that it was a futile exercise, but to my amazement there was no queue.

Maybe everyone else in he crowd didn't bother as they had relied on those untrue reports that the BBQ runs out early, or that you have to wait for eons to get the damn thing wrapped, or that those volunteers were so old that they either couldn't hear your order or were incapable of the complex tasks of firstly assembling the order as requested, then wrapping it without dozing off.

Well as I walked neared to the said BBQ, there was no-one in line. They've run out was the obvious conclusion.

WTF??? no they hadn't. Those diligent and efficient senior citizens were ready and able to assist!

As I placed my order, the call to arms was incredible.

One took my order, another began the complex assembly of the meal and another took the payment and promptly and correctly gave me the change.

Before i knew what had happened, the order was prepared and wrapped ... it even had been sauced to the level required.

As I walked away holding my wrapped lunch in a daze of what had just occurred, the folly of my actions in the past week in demonising these good people hit hard.

For this I'm well and truly sorry.
Dunno, I’m just an idiot.

I think I went to anti-matter Prospect Oval yesterday ... that parallel universe where the local BBQ and team are the best in the league.

It was all part of our plan to get served quickly, it worked. ;)
Quality yesterday was up there with Noarlunga leaving the Richmond BBQ sitting in 3rd place now! :D

Slightly off topic but how long has the lead singer of Air Supply been following the Bays?
A great rendition of "I'm all out of love...." by the Grog Squad yesterday, its still stuck in my head!

I was at the Bay with U18s yesterday so missed Massie's League coaching debut. Hence my "no comments".

As usual Trainers and Support staff are minimal at junior level - so a Big Thank You to Jo, North Adel U18s Head Trainer for her assistance when "plenty of hands on deck" was needed.
Her willingness to help out was truly appreciated by the Glenelg U18s :ymapplause:

Was looking for a Tigers side coming out fired up and have a big 1st qtr, didn't happen and the scoreboard didn't do justice to how far we were away when it counted.

What was the story with McIntyre not getting a run until halfway through the 3rd qtr. Was he late to the game or something or did Francou not want to mess with what was working?

I think that summed up why! It was good to have the luxury of having Macca on the bench and given the jobs Allleway, Keller, Miles and Ivens did in the key defensive positions for the first half plus it allowed Francout to use Miles as a back up ruckman and not use Mason as much who was earmaked as 2nd ruck hence him starting in the fwd line.
