Local lad that comes from Fitzroy, we gave Sheik Yerbouti a really ugly woolen jumper as a trade for him. 8)

Very solid lad with a great lead and very accurate kick.

The new cult hero at Prospect, Grenville in the 80s, Boomer in the 90s, Hargs in the 00s, Johnny in the 10s! :D

He played full back against Norwood at Prospect Oval last year, but I wasn't very impressed by him. Obviously he's better at the other end of the ground.

He has always been a natural full forward, with a very good lead and pair of hands. For whatever reason the defensive minded coach that North had for the last two years tried to make him a defender. Very, very strange move. Like making Grenville Dietrich or Neville Roberts into a full back. I'm not saying he is in either of those players class, but some players are just natural forwards.

I coached a junior team in the same comp as Fitzroy. He looked like he was going to be something special then - towering over guys, pushing them out of contests... it was just too easy for him. Hope he goes well!

Johnny always asks how the Roy Boys are going when I run into him, we're pretty stoked at yesterdays performance.

I must say I had my doubts in the past as to his height to play as Key Forward but he has worked really hard considering he was sent by Francou to Broadview to find some fitness and form after an interrupted pre-season. Since coming back he has more than earned his chance with his Foxtel Cup game and his stunner yesterday. He has bulked up and that has helped him hold his feet in the contest both on the lead under pressure and in the contested overhead department.

He is (and always been) a dead accurate shot for goal and he plays with passion too. We were all a little perplexed when Healy debut him at Woodville as defender as that is not his natural game however due to size deficiencies in our backline I think it was a selection in hope trial which probably didn't help Johnny's confidence and set him back a bit.

He is not going to kick bags every week but he is going to cause some defensive match up issues for the opposition given our other key fwd options too!
Piss weak SANFL and the CLOWNS who run it.

About six months ago there was a big colour photo (and accompanying article) on Page 3 of The Advertiser of Johnny in his home. Can't remember what it was about but it was nothing to do with footy; possibly something to do with flatscreen TVs or some other item of home entertainment. Ring any bells with anyone?

You're awesome aren't you?

Boras looked good in the Foxtel cup game against Port but I thought he might struggle against a team with bigger bodied defenders. Obviously I was wrong. :D

Boras played school football for Blackfriars, and he was very good player back then(also was about the same size then as he is now),enormus kick and strong mark! I saw him do one of the dumbest things ive ever seen on a football field, final siren sounded, up by 6 goals, he lines up for his 10th, missed, punched the ground in anger about kicking 9-1, breaks his hand, misses the next 7 weeks! :? ;)

His handpass over the top to Motlop after he'd marked 15 yards out in front might come a close 2nd. Doubt Francou would have been too impressed with that decision.

Could easily have had 10 yesterday but for a couple of odd decisions.

It was always going to be a matter of time before he got his chance after scoring for fun in the ressies. Thank heavens for the Foxtel Cup
