There wouldn't be much point in sacking Norman mid-season ... not in contention for finals and there probably isn't a ready made replacement.

I think you will find that Sturt have several options around with more coaching experience and better qualified than Kris Massie. 1 season of Under 18s and half a year of Reserves is hardly a compelling resume.

HOORAY PUNT ... seems to have all the answers

Like the answers to how to afford paying out Norman's contract, who replaces him etc.

Hooray Punt can fling accusations of bias at db.org if he likes, but he for most part is just bagging blokes. He's been invited to say who he think should go besides the coach (in a PM if he doesn't want to say on a public forum), but refuses to do so. As a result it comes across as trolling.

FWIW: I'm all for sacking Luke Norman if it will take the club forward and up the ladder, but unless you have valid reasons for doing so and options for a replacement etc, it's just ineffectual whinging.

The opinion of a few people at the club is that Hooray Punt/Mr Magic is a disgruntled former player.
It's all the SANFL's fault.

Wow you are way off the mark and who mentioned your name ? Who said Norman should be sacked , certainly not me .

You show me where I said Norman should be sacked and don't squib out .

The rest of your comments dont make a lot of sense.

You claim to have connections at the club , are they aware of this and have you mentioned it on the Sturt forum ?

Jarrod Cotton?

Fingers crossed that he's part of norwood's extensive succession planning.

Some of Norwood's Footy last night was sublime. Thought Allen looked the part last night too. It's great that good form in the reserves is now rewarded with league selection, the four years before Bass were a wasteland of average players being handed league games. Witness last night's best player, Tim Webber, handed a dcm by the previous coach and now a more than solid contributor in a strong midfield.

We've come a long way in two years.

Highly rate Cotton as a potential coach, ticks all the right boxes and is IMO the best assistant coach in the SANFL at present.

Yes, Cotton is a good assistant and didn't do too bad when in charge of the Legs for half a year, from memory.

That being said, I think Gavin Chaplin and/or Shane Reardon are the best assistant(s) in the league ATM.

Based on not much at all other than opinion, if you ask HP.

Bad day today Phil ?

Honestly how can someone say that a particular assistant is the best in the league ? What do they do that the everday supporter sees ? It all goes back either positively or negatively on the senior coach. That is quite obvious I would have thought.

Of course it's your opinion so remember that when you ask the same questions to posters.

The reason I asked is because Sojourner gets on here and makes commments but never bloody replies to a question.

All good Phil , relax mate.

Norwood too good obviously.
I hope we can turn it around somehow, and perhaps reveal some secret formula for success in what's left of the season.

It's called having an opinion ladies and gentleman.

Back to the game at hand, I was impressed with Josh Allen on debut for Norwood, another good defender coming through.
